I am pleased to sign Matthew Hobson with the MLE. My frontcourt had no depth at all before this signing. If I can get 1-2 more decent backup C/PF then my team should be good to go.

Edit: Looking at my team right now, it looks like Hobson will start at PF, allowing me to use Steve Johnson at the C and PF backup. Unless my Doleac, Hobson, or Johnson get injured, my frontcourt is fine as is.

the deadline for getting offers in is 5pm eastern, so no matter when the sim usually runs, it CAN run anytime after 5pm.

That has been stated a lot of times already ...

Don't get your knickers in a knot, Tom....I'm not complaining or anything....just surprised. I usually don't see any sims before the AM the following day, eastern time.

And since I didn't really know that the 5pm listed was eastern time, at least that part helps. So thanks.

eastern europe time. don't forget WE run this league (and DJSL for that matter)

and now get your ass back to the Superbowl, and stop getting on our nerves just because you still sit on your MLE. Ever thought about stopping to offer it to the Embry's, Scott's and Bailey's ... ?

It would be nice if that was specified on the schedule.

How the hell is that supposed to help? And who is we? And what the hell does DJSL have to do with anything?

I would make careful effort to not get on your nerves, but it seems damn near impossible to do. I've never seen anyone so easily triggered into long-winded rants as you.

Honestly Tom, when 95% of the sims occur at about 4am eastern time on what ends up being the day after what is listed on the schedule, it is not a sin to ask my question. Perhaps you are familiar with the expression "restraint is the better part of valor"? You should consider it before your next inclination to rant on about nothing.

Does anybody else find it weird that a career 7.6 PPG player got the max contract?

I mean, Byron Scott looks to have solid ratings, but that's some serious coin.

when did it start that players get contracts matching their production? Of course you pay for ratings ... or could you logically explain why Antonio Lenard, the most underrated player in SSBA history lasted until FA day 3 or 4 for the better part of his career and hardly ever getting much attention past MLE at all.

Byron Scott is 25, B off, A def, tremendous pot (still B after 4 TCs with +7 net improvement already). I have a gut feeling that he will suprise people. Bailey is a 25 yr old 10/10/2.5bpg guy on rock solid %. Sure, both contracts are maybe 2 years too long, but with 3 teams left with enough cash for a max offer - and these two probably the only young studs left worth to offer for - it's probably not the worst choice going the safe route rather than losing them for nothing.

what do you mean? It is announced that every sim the deadline is 5pm. It never changed. But most times it is easier for me to do it in the early morning my time. About 6 to 8 hours later.
