For sure i wouldve more success if i didnt spend just 15-20 mins on draft list or FA list

And you yourself have just explained why your idea about CPU picks is terrible.  Shit happens.  Real life gets in the way.  People get the schedule mixed up and forget.  There's no reason to penalize them again (they're already getting penalized by not getting the guy they want) by giving them a horrible guy.

Thanks for the suggestion.  But it's horrible.

I dont see how my idea was bad. I never missed a DC or list in last "idk" 2 years, and i had no free time at all, but i always found those few minutes to at least post a DC, or those 10,15,20 mins to send a quick and "bad" draft list. My point is, no matter how busy we are, we can find 5 minutes to at least send "something", just like i did it lately. I work about 12-14h per day, i still find those few mins to at least take a look at ratings and just make a quick list that takes prolly less then 10 minutes (ive said 15-20, but its not even that). And if someone cant find those few mins in 1-3 days, then i dunno what to say. If i can find it being so busy, then everyone should be able to find it during 1-3 days. Even to send a quick list which is like 5 minutes of work is better then not wasting those 5 minutes and making it CPU. Thats why im against CPU picks, if you cant find 5 minutes of your time then you should get punished. This league is the most strict league considering rules, so why not making that rule as well. Ive been in other leagues where everything is "smoothly" and lots of shit is forgiven, but missing a draft is awarded with crap player always.

I dont care really tough, other GMs business is not my own, if they get MJ or Hakeem with CPU, fine with me, i wont complain, i just think its not fair.

For sure, I had Daughetry at 3 on my list....very close to taking him at 2 but went with Person (actually thought I would be getting Tarpley after Rockets told me he would "def not be taking him"   Laughing Thumbs Up)

Up until you asked there was no way I was gunna, then after we talked I got to thinking... you actually changed my mind on things...!

So instead they should be buried for the next 5 sim years because of one mistake.

This is a hobby, not a job.  As I said, they're already being penalized for missing a pick.  There's no reason to penalize them twice.

relax. people make mistakes ... yup, even me.

times when i was spending 16 hours on the board only to miss a DC at the end, and sometimes you have a life too. letting the cpu do what it does takes any certainity away anyway.

I thought the Harper pick was a bit surprising...I didnt have him in my top 10. Also have Azario as the 2nd best PG on this draft....Daughetry would have been perfect for me - i fucking hate CPU picks

The reason behind the Harper pick was because Ron has better ratings than Daugherty and based on his true potential, it aint a B, C, D, E nor an F. But if I could turn back the time, I might have picked Daugherty since he is a better complimentary player to Malone's rebounding and lack of shotblocking quality. I guess at that point of time I just value the best player available and true potential. Thinking about it, I would have ranked Tarpley, Azario then Harper. In that order..

Yes, but also i probably have less time then most of GMs, but i always found few minutes of super busy days to post a DC, and even when i didnt have time at all, ive found 15-20 mins to make a draft list or FA list quickly. For sure i wouldve more success if i didnt spend just 15-20 mins on draft list or FA list or anything else in at least 3 of last 5 seasons. But those few minutes i can always find no matter how tired i am or how busy my real life schedule was. Last year for example, i never missed a DC or anything, but maybe all together ive spent 5h on boards during those super busy 6 months.

Take it easy.

The draft took place on a Sunday, we're getting complete renovations done in our basement, and had to concentrate on that for the majority of the weekend. I was online Sunday, but just to check my PM's. I know I don't really have to provide you with a reason, but since you're so worked up over the entire situation, I thought I'd reply to you.

I haven't missed much else since I've been here, I check the board daily...and respond to all PM's. If you'd like to punish GM's because something slipped their mind (over the course of a weekend mind you), then that's fine. I had full intention on making my selection, but forgot.

The CPU made my selection for me, and I can live with that. How would you like to punish me, or any other GM? Make them forfeit their selection to "teach them a lesson"?
