pacers and warriors are 2-1 up. never thought i can win a game with dwight having a subpar game. but LB and Mark exploded on wilkins for a combined 40 points. macy and shultz are pretty even at the moment. the rest of the matchups are still undecided. game 3 was a complete breakdown of the whole team.

Unbelievable. Howard getting nothing going in all 3 games, shooting 19-70 for an .271 percentage. Yikes ...

Props to them for still winning 2 games, but somehow someone stepped up for the Pacers, even the dead body got the better of Nique.

Guess this will go the distance, and IF Dwight can get it done - just proving he's MVP worthy - in any 2 of the next 4 games it's over for the defending champs.

Hinson has controlled Dwight going back to last season with the Magic -- he held Dwight to 5-30 shooting in the 4-OT game.

This has gone exactly as I expected. Nique has stuggled mightily against Lebron (and has struggled throughout the entire playoffs.)

Home court is once again critical for my squad, it appears.

Don Collins and Larry Bird have really been going at it...
And Reggie Theus has been quite impressive...

well ralph was a monster as a starter but luckily dwight raised his game also. still needed a game 7 win to meet the warriors in the finals.

A 1-point game 7 win and a 2-point game 7 win in the same playoffs. Unreal.
It was game 4 that really hurt, losing at home after being up by 1 going into the 4th quarter.

Wilkins was a huge flop in the playoffs. Hopefully with a few more years of experience he'll become more consistent. That was the difference for me this year -- I could rely on Natt to shoot 50% almost every night, whereas Wilkins could be relied on to shoot 30% every night.

Anyway, I'm disappointed. My only consolation is that half the Pacers' starters will decline and/or retire after this season.

Congratulations, Pacers. Whoever gets tothe finals deserves it.

I can't believe that desperation move to trade for Dwights huge contract pays off. That you can win in the playoffs when your center lineup is Johnny Newcomb (who would have started for no other team this season) and Nolan Keogan. That a B- defender can not be in constant foul trouble against better opponents (well, Barton will exploit that). That a dead body of a former great can still provide enough court time to be considered more effective than his backup.

So a team winning that's consisting of 2.5 players considered starting material (ok, the MVP being among them helps)

Just ... WOW !

Now all bets are off for the final. I'm still believing the Warriors are better (but I believed the same about Nets and especially Hornets), so I'm going with homecourt here, since Warriors are so much weaker on the road: PACERS WIN ... and retire all together.

ahem, what for? That he was an all league teamer 7 seasons ago? Congrats, LB, you retired 5 years too late.

Now he's no more than a role player, and not even good constantly at that. For every game he holds someone to 15 pts there's a guy scoring 30 on 67% against him.

4 games vs. Celtics:
Shane Wedge averages 20/6 in 3 games on 56% shooting, LBJ gets 9/5 on 44%
Purvis Short scoring 29 on 12-19 shooting (season high by 12 points), LeBron gets 3/2 on 1-8 (against PURVIS SHORT !!!!)

If he's a good defender he forgot to show.

There isn't a wing defender in the history of the league that didn't get lit up, nor is there one that's impervious (sp?) to bad matchups.  Shane Battier used to get lit up quite a bit, and he had Emeka behind him.

well, the matchups with Barkley, Hubbard and Nique worked to perfection for him.

Another great series, Jazz...
Same as the previouss eries, with Homecourt being held, until a game 6, when the Warriors finally broke the homecourt advantage....

Barton has always had problems with Uner, but he did ok in this series...

Good luck, Pacers, this should be an interesting matchup...
We split the season series 1-1...
