3-2 is better than the last sim result, so I'll take it - though I'm sure I'll hear about one of the losses. Didn't help that Schmalzy came back for a few minutes then got hurt again for another couple of days. At least he's healthy going into the next sim, getting my injured list down to Richard and just for 21 more days - gotta hold on and get withing striking distance until he gets back. With 15 games during that span, and 8 on the road, and lots against good teams, I really need a .500 record....

Mucked around with settings abit, with not very desirable results. Woot got a chance to be an option: twice he was unbelievably good; the other three games he was a mitigating factor. Kersey is less effective as a non-option: TO's are still there, but without the nice scoring. Team got shut down too easily a couple of times.

More figuring to do.

AWESOME! A 7-1 sim (losing to the Mavs, then winning 7 in a row), exactly the kind I have been waiting for. Switching Borgmann back to C and Kareem to PF seemed to have worked. Magic and Mike did their thing, and we got solid contributions from the rest of the gang, different ones stepping up at different times. Held our opponents to an average of 83ppg that sim, very stingy. Now up to 2nd in the division. I love Xavier's rebounding from the 3-spot.

stats:

C - Borgmann
26.8min, 14.3pts, 9.0reb, 1.6ast, 1.3stl, 2.1blk, 48.9%fg

PF - Cunningham
33.9min, 13.4pts, 6.6reb, 1.5ast, 0.6stl, 2.9blk, 47.4%fg

SF - McDaniel
35.9min, 9.9pts, 9.4reb, 1.4ast, 1.4stl, 0.4blk, 43.6%fg, 2.6to

SG - Magic
39.3min, 20.4pts, 7.9reb, 6.0ast, 2.5stl, 0.3blk, 45.5%fg, 36%3pt, 4.0to

PG - Evans
39.9min, 15.3pts, 5.8reb, 1.08ast, 1.9stl, 53.3%fg, 53.8%3pt, 4.0to

sub - Zollner
19.3min, 8.6pts, 5.0reb, 0.5ast, 0.6stl, 2.3blk, 47.2%fg

5-3 sim.  every sim i've gone 2 over 500.

Mehta had a triple double and a 27 rebound game.  Another player of the week award for him.

6 guys are averaging double figures for my team.  I'm shocked to be leading the league in points per game, not to mention shooting 48%

Nice. 5-2 sim, again on a road-heavy schedule.

Losses at the Mavericks (who took care of Moncrief's absence) and Bulls (without Tyler), but a huge road win at New Orleans (who tried to murder Moncrief). Took back the #2 seed from the Heat (and it looks like it will be a 2-team race in the Atlantic. So much for your rivalry, Nets, sometimes you got to walk the walk, too ...  Wink )

Antonio Lenard, in his next-to-last sim for his beloved Celtics got me 21ppg on 50% shooting (holding opponents to 16ppg on 43%). Boy I will miss that dude ...

Went 4-2, but with a +16 ppg differential (108/92). If this team gets any consistency, it's going to be scary. Sampson's TOs improved slightly when I took him off top 3 options, but they're still a problem. Stockton responded well to being put as an offensive option (he had one 20 assist game). Macy's stats are a little down, but that's what happens when you have a gunner like Wilkins in there.

Went 4-1 half of them without our starting PF and PG.  Sam McGuire was a monster on the board when he started three games and got 16, 15, and 14 boards. Cheers

There's plenty of time for that rivalry to heat up.....there is not much more I can say about having the most impactful injury in the league. But I'm tellin' ya....just two more sims and a day and we're coming after you.... Cool

Edit to add: Classy move on the Hornets part.....

I was going to say "finally", but since you're such a good fella, Hornets, I didn't feel inclined to Wink

Can't wait for a Hornet-Nets game at full-tilt with both rosters healthy. I expect noone to hold back words then....

Well, it looks like this Barton O'Connell guy is still pretty good...
Went 6-2, after inserting him back into the starting lineup.
Looks like the young guns are still too young...

We're really struggling offensively right now, and really shouldn't be.

4-2 sim and still holding the top of the west.  Won all 3 road games but loss two at home.  Schedule gets a little tougher with 23 games in the next 29 days heading into the all-star break.

Both losses came against the Nuggets...their backcourt forced me into way too many turnovers and wild shots.  Loss every key category and was blown out twice...by 20 and 18.  And both games on my home court.  Gotta hope that we don't meet in the playoffs if I can't figure out a counter to Evans & Magic.
