Another fine preseason playing my regular lineup vs everyone's experiments.  Changed my options a little and played an inside game.

The inside game with Mitchell & Fleisher as options proved to be very strong offensively.  We led the league in FG%, FTA (7th in %), first in 3pt %.  Top ten in other offensive categories as well as near the top in rebounding differential and turnover differential (2 keys to winning teams in SSBA).  Defensively we protect the rim well.    2nd in opponent's FG% & FTA, 3rd in scoring defense...all at a fast pace.  All I can hope for is continued success when the games start to count.

No I HOPE that it will.  And seeing how I had the top record in the west last year as well as my entire team returning I honestly believe that it is a reasonable hope.

Well, my main goals in this sim were to see how Barkley would respond to being the primary option offensively, and he responded.  21.3 ppg, 11.7 rpg in only 32 minutes.  Got to the line a lot (nearly 8 attempts per game), and converted (76.1%).  Gives me something to go on as I shape my team.

Koncak played OK as a starter, so that's good stuff. I think he and Turkoglu might have futures. Johnny Martin got consistent playing time, and it showed in his production: percentages were up, shot blocking and rebounding rates were good. A little more confident in my depth upfront this year if something tragic should happen with Schmalzy or Woot.

Arizin and Sanders played equally well, all things considered. Neither will see much time behind Hubbard, but again, depth is nice.

Milner was up to his old tricks with Bradley playing along side him. Seems like he and Kersey might have some difficulty cohabitating in the starting lineup - two guys who like the ball and can score it. Milner played a much more balanced game with Kersey coming off the bench, and Marcus seemed to like it just fine himself - putting up nice numbers in a combo role.

All set for the coming season. Good luck to one and all.
