Woot. Stoked for this year. I think the Nets are poised to compete even better with the best in the East - gotta see how Woot(en) and Kersey stack up in bigger games to have a better sense. This is about the best time of the year, too. Everyone is on an undefeated streak, everyone is in contention for the title, and everyone has to have at least one guy - like Adrian Turkoglu for me - in whom they see stardom.

I've been dying to get this started - cant wait to see what the new-look-Nuggets can do. I am very confident in this squad and think that my offseason makeover will result in a much better record than past years.

well dwight is even better than i expected. dominated at both ends. in fact i expected a bigger scoring drop with shultz, butler and LB all good enough to score a lot. In fact it was LB who suffered the most. My bench play is really great. mark can score without a doubt and ed wallace and newcomb arenĀ“t far behind. Getting almost 30pts from 3 backup guy is just unbelievable.

Nice pre-sim for my experimental lineup. Have to look in depth some more but a few observations early on: - Shane Wedge kicks some ass at SF. 23ppg, 8rpg, 2bpg - Held the 107ppg Pacers to 91ppg in 3 outings, even winning one against their super-gramps - Sidney playing out of position at SF for the Kings did great. 16/6/4 and great D (btw, great road game against Larry Legend: http://rosters.ssbabasketball.com/boxes/19-5.html) and man, do i love who's leading the league in scoring. Up where he belongs ...

This is why I love pre-season. Adrian Turkoglu reminds me of Georghe Muresan - good shot blocker, big old dude. Hit free throws. Turns out I'm not too uncomfortable playing him in a pinch. Marcus Kersey handles SG duties just fine. 19.4ppg/4.4apg, .498/.837/.419. Didn't seem to get killed in matchups, which is nice. Strange though, that with him in the lineup, Milner's assists were way down (not even top 10 ). Having a second scorer in the backcourt really helped free him up tho, since he shot these insane %'s: .534/.957/.545. Woot played well. %'s out of line with career #'s, but that would calibrate I'm sure. 14.0ppg/11.1rpg/2.5bpg translates nicely when his shooting is more in line. Johnny Koncak was plenty solid, nothing sexy. Pleased with the pick, though Way Tisdale is putting up some goofy scoring numbers, so maybe I goofed on that one. Interesting team notes were that our defence was pretty good (94oppg), running a starting lineup of B/B+/B-/B-/B+, and three projected starters didn't touch the floor, including an A and an A-guy, so that is seeming encouraging. Sum of the parts I guess. Kinda fun to have two guys in the top 10 in blocks, when my best guy the last handful of seasons wouldn't have cracked the top 75.

Gee..Byron Scott a A+ defender at the PG spot. If he could only have a better handlings and if i hadn't traded Moncrief, that would've been A+ and A+ defensive backourt, lol. But that's too many IF's...

Every one of my starters had over 2 turnovers per game. I expected it from Magic and Evans, but also getting it out of bench players? Me no likey

I am pleasantly surprised with Spud Webb. ROM, but he even played well, I still don't like him starting yet with the defensive rating and his size, but maybe I'll give it a shot. Sidney Green played well too. It's all for nothing though, most teams didn't play all of their best, but some did. The Hawks started off 8-0 also, I think the 2-6 after that might be how we really fare this season.

is Jordan the real deal? or is this just the preseason glitch seems like everybody is experimenting on their depth chart...im the only one who played its best starting 5 No, I did too. I don't really have any questions on my DC since my core is all under age 30. I tried my rookie as a backup combo guard and he did surprising well. But then I'm not sure the competion we faced is a good gauge. 7 of my 10 wins were against the Suns, Clippers and Wolves...a combined 11-32 in preseason. Munson is still a beast even as a non-option. Fleisher came through strong as a primary option keeping a high FG% and getting to the line often. If he could only hit more than 60% of his freebies. My front court rotation blocked 7.3 shots per game and all 3 averaged over 10 boards. Only concern here is injuries as I don't have a servicable 4th big. As mentioned above my rookie was surprising in backing up both guard spots. 20 minutes to produce 7 pts, 3.2 rebs, 2.8 assts (1.3 to), 1.2 stls and 53.7% from the floor. This highlites my only true competion...backup PG.
