We have the cap room to take the salary and accept the new backcourt of Evans and Magic. Pleasure dealing with Hawks, this was in the works for a few weeks.

The talks started right after the deadline and progressed from there, until here.  I am very happy to get a potential star at PF who is already a good player.  A young C, in Pryzbilla to help out defending Ralph Sampson and Terry Teagle who will allow me to get rid of Ron Brewer and Peter Shabinger when their contracts expire.  Overall I am happy with this deal, tough to trade a top 5 player in the league in Mike Evans, but it has to be done.  And as everybody knows, the market for PG's is tough right now, so not a whole lot of players involved in dealing Evans.

I think my team is now much improved from last year's roster. I have 2 young vets at the guard spots with Magic and Evans , along with rooks McDaniel and Kleine to go with 2nd year big man Edward Borgmann and shot blocking sensation Kareem Cunningham. I'm going to miss Buck, and Sid has good potential, but I think my team is much better overall now.

The Nuggets do have a good backcourt now, but I have to admit when we started talking this deal, I wanted to see Buck and Mike together, but Magic and Mike will be fun to see too.  Now I just need a replacement PG and I'll be ready for the season.

Magic's TO should come down since he wont have to carry the load offensively. I can deal with 3.4TO from a PG if he is getting over 10 AST per game
