Well, this is more a theoretical, "how long do you wait" kinda question.  Let's assume those get filled in a week.  Do we then look to replace trev?

I would say at that time yes, we replace him.  But we have had one team open for a while.  And the other just opened up. Odds are that it will take time to find 2 new GMs.  If he hasn't replied to e-mails or checked in by the time the other teams have been filled then start looking for a replacement.

EDIT:  BTW I didn't vote as I don't see a clear cut answer right now.  Firing him now puts the team in the computer's control...which is basically status quo.

Grizz point is great, lets find 2 GMs for those spots first, then well discuss about trev. It makes no sense discussing this right now as we need to fill 2 spots first. So lets just leave it this way and continue to talk about it after we find 2. Until then, everyone should try to find out whats going on with trev.

It always makes sense to be prepared.

And didn't you fire him in DJSL?

Pistons, you clearly have something in mind, what would your course of action be?

I actually don't.  If Pacers or I had a firm idea of what to do, a decision either way would have been made.  I'm just playing devils advocate to try to look at things from all angles.

bods, trev has alreaDy left rbsl, and gave a notice to nick. Maybe nick can help us out contacting him?

It wasnt an easy call, but I spoke to Trev on a few occasions about it and he had to step down. He really thought his life would calm down and allow him more computer access, but unfortunately things continued to get worse for him and personal life always takes precedence over Sim Leagues. That said, the door will remain open for him to return if and when he is able.

Replacing him will be our old WarriorsGM.

Grizz makes a good point, and so does Kings - I share their thinking. I don't have the same history in here as the others, and appreciate that Trev has made alot of contributions here - but IIRC, the main issue for him was availability, and "no time" means "no time". So, fill the other two spots, and if there's a third candidate, then great - let him handle TO and Trev can make a triumphant return when he is able.

I can not agree more about teams needing management over the off-season. We recently saw the Bowie fiasco here. Just watched a really great team get shredded in one off-season in another league.

Look for other candidate. And be our no.1 priority candidate to be a GM in SSBA.

i say let´s make his team available. we need some time to find a new gm anyway and we have to fill the wolves and lakers first. in about 2 weeks we have a draft again and he missed already last season draft as well. his team can´t afford another offseason without any activity.
so that allow us to look for a new gm for about 2 weeks and the raptorsgm to answer our e-mails and pms.
as kings posted he will always have a chance to come back and get a new team here.

I have talked to Trev on a few occasions since I live close to him and it doesnt appear his life was going to get any easier. However he is moving back to the city with full internet access and has always expressed his desire to keep SSBA as his only sim league. I have replacemed him in our other 2 leagues and he was OK with that. I will try to talk to him ASAP regarding SSBA.

If the problem is internet access, I have no problem waiting until he regains it full time.  I just need to know that there is an end in sight to inactivity.
