Hakeem with a freakin "h" already, stop besmirching his good name.

Actually when he was in college and when drafted into the NBA he spelled his name "Akeem".  It was only after a few years (and a few accolades) that he changed the spelling to "Hakeem" which he said more closely approximated the Nigerian spelling.

From NBA.com...

Quote
Two years later he enrolled at the University of Houston under the name of Akeem Abdul Olajuwon. He dropped references to "Abdul" prior to entering the NBA and officially adopted "Hakeem" on March 9, 1991.

I knew all that, I just dont like looking at it written as Akeem all the time when its not even like that on the roster page.

Well, that's a lot different than "besmirching his good name".

Besides this is all just fictional anyway, just ask Kings GM.

 Cheers

He was always Hakeem, it's just that the people at Houston and the media wrote it as Akeem and he didn't feel like correcting them.

His born name is Akeem. I just prefer it that way.  Cheers
