some early surprises with celtics completly out of sync without their gm.

great starts for warriors only team unbeaten and with 1 loss for nets, pistons, wizards, pacers, rockets and jazz.
seems to me that this will be a very competitive season.

even it is only 1 sim. look at newcomb.... Shocked
he is coming of the bench a non option and is avg. 12pts over 8boards and nearly 2blks while shooting over 50%
and he is still only 22.. Very Happy
Shane did a wonderful job as well with 14pts and 11 rebs while shooting 51%
but my Pg must be the best shooter here. he is avg nearly 20pts and over 8 ass and is leading the league in steals.
he is shooting 54% from the field and near 50% from 3. Thumbs Up

There's something wrong with the box scores. It appears Bird droped 40 in one game! That can't be...

My guys do not show up in the league leaders...not because they are bad (it looks to be an actual bug in the game).

Don't think it's a bug - they probably didn't play enough games to qualify.

Surprising start for the Nets at 8-1, for two reasons: 1) we did have that bad TC; and 2) we lost Schmalzy on Day 6, and Bennett the next game (basically my C rotation). Happily, we went 2-1 in that time. It will be interesting to see how things work out without those two for the next little while, though big Steve is only out for 4 more days. Nice to have Milner/Gminski to glue things together.

Macauley is getting his chance to shine, and isn't disappointing giving me 12+/9 at the 3 in 35 mins. Brooks is playing well off the bench, Dudley is very efficient, Milner and Mike rock solid.

Some surprises in Denver, starting with a 4-4 sim. Lost the first 4 in a row (Knicks, Cavs, Spurs x2) then won 4 in a row (Suns, Raps, Blazers x2).

Buck was fantastic as 2nd option, dropping his turnovers from 3.5+ in preseason to just 1.6 - but I would be kidding myself if I were to expect that to continue. 23/15/2/1/2 is sure nice though and I do expect close to that for the whole season.

Went with Borgmann as 1st option to try and limit Bucks turnovers but he didnt produce like preseason; still decent though 15.8/8.6 and 2.5 blocks - hopefully that FG% climbs.

Since Green sucked as an option in PS, went with a non option there and he did decent - 14/8 from the SF spot.

Tracy Vaught is proving to be a good FA pickup, averaging 2.3 steals starting out of position at SG. This also limits Teagle's turnovers nicely by bringing him off the bench. Vaught has horrific percentages though.

Snow is holding the fort nicely. Even as 3rd option he avg just under 10ppg but 8.6 assists while collecting 2.1 steals.

All in all, I dont really expect the W/L success to continue, but maybe we are a sleeper in the West, who knows?

7-2 and tops in the west.  Seems like preseason success carried over and I was still playing with my roster.  Difficult to really analyze as 4 wins came against teams with .333 or worse record.

MVP MVP !!

Man is he sick....

28.2ppg 9rpg 1spg 2.7bpg on 53 % in less then 30mpg.

Macy also was fantastic, he will help Hornets A LOT. Im sure. I hope i won regret that trade, he had couple of double-doiubles, if Drexler doesnt improve as i want in next 2-3 seasons ill jump through a window.

Telf and Clement doing their usual good Blazer stuff.

Im very suprised we went 6-4, lost 2x vs Nuggs, against Lakers in OT and unbeaten Warriors.

Im really really impressed with this team.

Akeem 25/19/5 6 blocks @Sixers.

Followed by even more impressive game in OT loss @Lakers, 40 pts, 9 rebs 5 blocks.

The rest...

37/8 @Warriors.

38/7 @Spurs.

40/9 @Hornets.

25/10 5blks @Nuggs.

His PPG would be a lot higher but he had some minor injury it seems and played just 16 mins @Nuggs for 14 pts.

Am i looking at correct boxes or is this just a dream ? Akeem brought the dream back to Portland.

Well, I resolved the TO issue (now 5th best in the league in both topg and otopg), but at the expense of shooting. There are definitely some issues left to be resolved, but I think I'm making some progress. I'm also confident that a +6 ppg differential will normally net me better than a 60% win percentage.

Individually, Hinson was the guy that impressed me the most, averaging a rediculous 4.7 bpg while adding 10.1 rpg, and he's only twenty-freakin-three! Stockton also had a very good sim, staying on the leader board in assists and steals, while limiting his turnovers to 2.6 pg. He has struggled with his shooting, but I think that may be something that I'll just have to deal with while he continues to develop.

Natt and Wilkins both had subpar sims after I experimented with switching up their positions. I was hoping that Wilkins would take the kind of initiative on offense as he did as a 2nd option in preseason 1. However, he was quiet, but had a decent sim with regard to TOs and shooting %s.

Anyway, not a bad start for a team that plays a starting lineup with an average age of 22.6...

4-1 start for the Rockets and it's been a few years since we've had a 4-1 sim!

- Otis Thorpe is looking like everything I expected averaging 23 and 9 per game.
- Mahorn has moved to centre successfully to provide 21 and 11 per game.

Not bad for a team which has consistently struggled in the frontcourt, the days of clinging on to Ivan Strong may be over..!

Phelps is scoring and is turning the ball over, however this was expected and in my fast paced offense I can understand it.

Very happy with the first sim, can't argue with wins. A lil more defense and a lil less turnovers would be ideal but I'll take wins over stats any day!
