and boy, were there some surprises: The Kings being up 3-0 !!! on the Mavs, who ruled the West for some seasons and are still #2 seed? Maybe Emeka IS getting old ... The league leading Warriors losing to the steerless Clippers 2-1 ??? Are you kiddin' me, where's the dominance everyone expected ... The Magic showing little resistance to the balanced Cavs. Take that, MVP ... Only the Jazz and Nets playing hide and seek with their lowly opponents cams somehow expected !

yawn ... so no big surprises in the end. Warriors and Mavs (sorry i missed they took game 3) regrouped and prevailed (albeit the Mavs losing the first two at home came out of nowhere), Jazz needed 7 and a strong 4th quarter to take the Grizz, and Sonics found the shooting touch at the right time. Pacers, Celtics and Nets also took relatively easy wins, though Pacers and Nets were only tied 2-2 after four games. Magic provided the only "upset" (if you can call 5 beats 4 an upset at all) and might give the Pacers more of a scare than the Cavs. Predictions: Warriors - Jazz. Warriors in 7. (Could see the Jazz in 6 if Toney/Uner outscore Maxi/Barton and Hubby doesn't get a 20/20) Mavs - Sonics. Sonics in 5. The Mavs old bones can't run with the Sonics high octane offense anymore. The Kings gave us a glimpse, Peters and company will finish that task. Pacers - Magic. Pacers in 6. They'll find a way to stop Melo (LBJ?) and hold Dwight to respectable numbers, the rest of the team is no contest. Celtics - Nets. Celtics in 7. Promises to be a great series with two teams at their peak. Can go either way, but homecourt gives the Celtics the edge (and of course the fact it's ME writing this ...)

Frank Johnson will be out 4 days (probably 3 games) against high scoring Sonics. I expect this series to be high scoring.

Bailey Tobey and Vince Keogan vs Quincy Peters and Kelvin Ransey....expect this one to be a great offensive series.

never said MY team is young, but yeah, maybe Frank/Tobey are not that old ... and Sonics, i think you have the superior offensive lineup, but you are meeting a team that can score AND defend, while your guys couldn't even spell "D". Still see you prevailing, but beware if the sleeping lion awakes and returns to last seasons dominance ...

After going up 2-1 following two very impressive wins by very large margins, the Cavs fell apart. It was looking good too, game 3 was a score of 122-94(highest scoring game with no one hitting 20?). Oh well, the Cavs will be back at it again next year...

nice series cavs. made some key adjustments. which gave me 3 straight wins. just by reaching game 7 of round 2 would be a really wonderful accomplishment for my boys. The Pacers have really turned things around.
