nobody stayed unbeaten but boy did the mavs have a good start. Celtics, Pacers, Mavs and Sonics are leading their division.

a short recap of sim 1:
a friendly schedule and some guys stepping up their plays gave me a very good sim1 result.
i have no 20+ scorer (i know a team with 3 20+ guys ) but my bench is just crazy. shane avg over 10, my other rookie Mccray is avg near 7 in less than 14mins and rob is even better with 7pts in 11mins.
butler stepped up big. he increased his scoring and most important dropped his TOs. Caleb amazes me. He is only B- but shoots over 50% from the 3. Lb did as expected. % could be a little better. my other rookie is a very good rebounder and shot blocker but sadly he will never be a scoring machine..lol finley avg a double double. he did all what i expected from him.
if my bench guys can keep that pace i am sure i can make a push for a PO place.

Easy schedule to kick off the season, but i take going 5-1 nonetheless. Celtics lead the league in rebounds (58.7), blocks (10.5), turnovers (12.3), point differential (+17ppg), fga differential (+9) and by a landslide in opp ppg (89.0). Nice, let's keep it up, guys. Individually there's Tyler standing out with 18ppg/15rpg and 4bpg, but he's shooting below 40% which takes away. Nice bench performances from Matthew Hobson and Kyle Torpopsky, now let's see how i can work Amare and Teagle into the lineup.

some observations: Charles Phelps at PG is probably the most fascinating experiment so far. Against the Kings he came close to a quadruple double: 27 pts, 13 turnovers, 8 reb and 7 ass ... and of course a 30 pt loss. Against the Warriors he doubled that up with a healthy 21/8/10/8. No wonder he has a league leading 5.6 topg ... but also 27ppg and only Dwight shoots more often than him. Speaking of the Kings, ever wondered why none of his guys does great in the scoring column? Just look at this box score: http://rosters.ssbabasketball.com/boxes/9-6.html 6 guys shooting 11 or 12 times, and two more with 9 and 8 shots. When you have so many player happy to jack them up, then what you get is some 0-9 performance from a BACKUP SF. Impressing so far: Mavericks, Sonics and Grizzlies. They sure can score, and the Mavs are hands down early favs for me to represent the West in the finals. I can't see much weakness on them and they can hit you from different angles with 6 guys easily scoring 20+pts on any given night. Pacers and Magic aren't shabby either, but they weren't as impressive as their western counterparts so far. Looks like a great season ahead ...

4-3
I kinda forgot what a winning sim was like, so a nice way to start the season!
- Desmond Wingate has pulled down 9.7rpg in only 23 minutes. Look for him to get more playing time. - David Jonas has been a nice surprise off the bench chipping in almost 11ppg. - Allen Coles backed up his impressive pre-season with 16ppg - Devin Harris continues where he left off last year, 28ppg and 7apg - Ivan Strong can't hold on to the ball - Wiley Peck is shooting .373 from the field. Some very expensive bricks!
It's gunna be an interesting year for the Rockets....

Nothing special about a 3-2 sim. What was strange was the Nets playing time distribution in game 1. Against the Wolves in the season opener in Minny, Steven Schmalz played 0 minutes - - injured in the first few seconds perhaps? Team saving him for the home opener? Agent held him out of the lineup as a protest after learning that he was not going to be an offensive option? Also screwy was that Albert King played 31 minutes during that Game 1 - but has no season stats? I wondered if something wierd happened here with the upload? Next game against the Mavs Tobey/Okafor tandem, both Schmalz and Big Mike had 4 fouls 18 minutes or less. Averything settled in after that. Have a good long weekend fellas, Happy Canada Day!

Guys, the box scores for DAY 1 are NOT the correct ones, it's still the preseason boxes showing up. Also the day 1 league schedule page is the old one. But the scores on the TEAM SCHEDULE pages is the right one. I talked to the new commish about it and he can't even see them in FBB. Strange ... From DAY2 everything is ok, so if you want to find about about day 1 stats you can easily calculate them. (For instance, i know that Antonio Lenard led us with 36 points in game 1 in a rout of the Clippers (just added his game 2-6 stats and substracted from the total showing on the players page ...)

Ahhh. I wondered if that was the case - had no idea how that could possibly happen - but that explains it. Some exciting Nets stats. "Im in love with" Lavar Zollner: 3.4 bpg in 18 minutes. Kyle Macy, of the C+ handles: 7.17:1 assist-to-turnover ratio . Very nice from my hometown PG who's due for an extension. Steven Schmalz Liquor: Mr. Efficiency. 18/11 in 30mpg, as a NON-OPTION. Love that. 0.0 BPG? Not so much. Bennett Fuqua: Shooting a scorching .610 fg%. Team shooting .470, top 5 in PPG, RPG, SPG, Least TO's, FG%, oPPG, oRPG, oAPG, and oFG%. Early season spike or very nice trend, too early to tell. I guess I should be disappointed that we lost two games playing like that, but I'm not

Turnovers are going to be a real problem with us until Sampson and/or Wilkins develop some handles. Slowing it down only made it worse... Still, I think this team is only a couple of pieces away from being very good. I desperately need a decent PF, and a long term solution at PG. Otherwise, I'm really happy with the direction of the team.

4-5 sim...but one 2 pt OT loss from being 5-4. Mitchell put up solid numbers: 26/7/1.6 steals 50.8% from the floor. And Fat kept up his solid play also with 17/11.7/4.2 reb/2.8 steals. Should end up around .500 for the year and battle for the last couple playoff spots in the west. My team was definately up & down. Look at these margins: Game 1: +31 Game 2: -17 Game 3: -16 Game 4: -2 in OT on the road Game 5: +22 Game 6: -13 Game 7: +21 Game 8: +12 Game 9: -24

We had an impressive sim 1. 6-2 isn't bad at all. Mike Evans was stellar, looks like he might be vaulting himself into top 3 PG in the league status. It makes it a lot harder to trade him. George Johnson has been a great compliment to Evans, much like he was last season. James Bailey is getting me about what Cliff Robinson did for me last season. Except James is blocking more shots. Overall I'm happy with the sim, just wish that the rest of the east didn't seem so good.

Fine start for Blazers. 4-3. Phelps broke our franchise record with 13 TOs vs Kings He also broke his PB with 45 pts. Andresen also with PB 25 rebounds. It should be fun to watch this cripples this year.

Very good balance scoring for the Mavs, all five starters in double digit in scoring. Still need to work on our defense a little more.
