Wow, that Wiley Peck thing changes my whole free agency...
I made very good offers for him on both days...
He was one of my major targets...

COOL !!!

I know he is way past is prime, but getting Amare Stoudamire for MLE could be great for me (kind of like trev picking up Biedrins last season). For now i think there's no immediate need to dismantle the youth core of my team anymore, sorry.

(btw, offered MLE to Adams, Swift, Robinson, Keogan and Amare)

DPOY Tyler plus Pavel, Amare and Strait, that's a legit frontcourt.
You can do worse than Orlando, Lenard and Magloire with backups Chills and Perry in the backcourt, too.

Good times in Beantown !

Excellent news on Schmalz, the best FA I've been able to lure since joining this league. He really solidifies my frontcourt, becomes offensive threat #1, and adds some spunk on the glass, and takes offensive pressure off Gminski, Brooks, Macy et al. (and take that Raps!!  Cheers Lol 2).

While it is definitely more than I would have liked to spend on him per year and for a longer term than I really wanted, the market took a drastic shift yesterday and I thought I'd better adjust if I'm going to take a big step forward. I think this is the perfect time for my team to add a premium vet.

Of course, I said that last year and picked up Lenard - which failed quite miserably...but this year I really mean it  Cool.

Lenard didn't fail, you failed utilizing him right. He could have gotten you the title, easily.
But I agree, picking up Schmaltz is huge, and let me say it here first:

WE HAVE A NEW TEAM TO BEAT !!!

Congrats on a great rebuilding job with the Nets just about to be completed ...

Now that's pressure.  Shocked Thanks, Tom.
I don't know if a title was in the works with Lenard, but I feel alot closer to it now than I did - so I don't regret that move at all: without it I wouldn't have been in the market for anything more than an MLE or LLE. I feel like the next move, whatever it might be, will be the key to how far we go. I don't think this team is far away from contending for a title, and another star piece could really be the thing to make it happen....or it might tip the scales in the wrong direction. So much rides on the next decision....
And Raps,  Moon to you too  Cheers

I know, the most unfair thing is that everybody else has signed players in FA and eaten up their cap room, Derek and I will try and come up with as fair of a resolution as possible for this situation.  It just wouldn't be fair to just give him to the highest bidder on day 5 because Blazers would easily get him.

Anyway, Im just glad to have signed Lundy and Curry. Curry is just here because we kinda need a new team mascot. While Lundy will be foolin everyone that he has shot blocking ability.

Congrats to everyone who got who they want in Day 2.
