... When you see practically all of the top eastern teams barely playing .500 ball during the latter parts of the season, you know it's there to take for anybody.
...

we won our last 10 games of the season.  I thought we were in good shape to make it to the EC Finals, although like I said previously, the most dangerous low seeds, IMO, were the Celtics (who didn't get it) and the Wizards who knocked me off in Atlanta in game 7.  I guess I was wrong, they were all dangerous.  If we had George Johnson it would have been a better outcome for the series and Mike Evans wouldn't have been chucking up shots like there was no tomorrow.  Our first PO and we choke as the top team in the league (ie. real life Mavs), but I expect a better PO performance next season as long as we can replace some of the guys we lose.

and before that 10game win streak you lost 4 straight (3 of those to non-PO teams) and went just 5-4 in sim 11, just like everyone else in the East (maybe apart from the Magic).

Thats what i mean. Sim 11 is THE statement sim of the year, everyone has it's final roster, and still it proved that anybody can beat anyone. Wide open, as I said ...

well, for what its worth, the hawks did a really fine job of doing some scouting of role players. hats off to him.

I think that alone is a great achievement for a team that made the playoffs for the first time.

Well, how ecxciting. A 4-2 series win against the Cavs and my first playoff round victory in SSBA. Pretty tight, up and down series until game 6 - which made sense, since both teams are very balanced. Played out that way for the Nets, who had at least three different scoring leaders and typically had 5/6 guys in double figures.
Good series, Cavs.
On to the Wiz, and Steve "Show me the Money (after a big playoff)" Schmalz - not a fan of matching up with these guys after such a big first round, and we're pretty even - so should be a good one. Good luck, Wiz.

that's very true.  Sim 11 was my first without George Johnson, that's what I attributed that mediocre sim to.  Then we clicked and made a nice run to end the season.  If I had George Johnson, I think it woud have been different.  Lol and to Wizards, I was shocked you didn't pull Unseld off.  I did all my gameplanning assuming that Unseld would be playing.  Maybe that's one reason you knocked me off.

good series nuggs, i tought i wouldve much more problems with your team but Yao obviously pushed into final gear in po's and we won easier then expected.

Now onto wolves, we were 4-0 in regular, but that means nothing. Phelps is just 6 more days injured. /oh boy, how i wish he was here now, but Yao is playing for both. Hopefully he'll continue against wolves.

I just forgot to pull him off the IL sim 12 and knew I was suppose to so i just played with what i had.

Won the series against the Jazz in 6 games.  First two games were really close and it could go either way.

Game 1
Who the &*%$# is Quincy Mihm?  This guy scored 16 points off the bench in just 11 minutes.  Okafor only played 19 minutes before fouling out.  Tobey came up big with 32/14/4 while Okafor's replacement A.J Dial with 12/13.

Game 2
A one point win, out scored the Jazz in the 4 quarter 26 to 17.  Andrew Toney had a great game for the Jazz  with 34/9/4/4.  A balance attacked by the Mavs as all five starters reached double figures.  Led by Dennis Mangrum 19/9/14 and Okafor 22/19/4.

Game 3
Fans in Utah probably fell asleep after the second quarter as both team combined to score 23 total points in the second quarter.  Okafor had another big game with 15/22/3 and Keogan chipped in 31 points.  The Jazz shot only 30.3% in the game.

Game 4
Jazz put the game away in the fourth quarter out scored the Mavs by 12 points.  Mavs shot under 40% and Keogan had an off night going 7 for 26.

Game 5
This game was pretty much over after the first quarter as the Mavs only scored 10 points in the quarter.  Andrew Toney had 35/10/6/3 and Eddie Uner came close to a triple double with 20/10/8/4.

Game 6
Mavs closed out the series by beating the Jazz on their homecourt.  Okafor with another strong performance 25/17/6/2.  We held their leading scorer Andrew Toney to series low 11 points.

Next up is the Blazers.  A matchup between two giants in 7'2 Bailey Tobey against 7'6 Yao Ming.

A lot of close games in my series against the raptors. I think that the result could have been different if Mr.O'connell was still with the raptors.

Anyway, Congratulations to everyone who made it to the conference finals!

A sweep is a bit of a surprise, though we did have a lot of success against them during the regular season - good series Wiz. My scoring options all played very well, and Lavar/Mike contained Schmalz enough that he wasn't able to take things into his one hands.

Next up is Sixers - a couple of upstarts in the EC finals, and a team that has really come together since the deadline. Shultz is going to go wild - he's been carrying that team, so I have to figure a way to slow him down, or bottle everyone else up. Should be a good one.

would mind if Priddy offered a very small longterm deal to stick around and rebound for me.

CONGRATULATIONS.

We will have a new champion. And that's great. I see the Blazers as slight fav holding home court, but the Sixers have assembled a good team with great chemistry. Will be fun to watch.

(oh and i sucks to be 4-2 against the finalists, Blazers 1-1 and Sixers 3-1 - tho not against THESE Sixers)
