I'm glad we aren't following the Jazz idea re: carryover injuries from preseason to the regular season...

Quote
Injuries
Andre Stocker Severe Depression 69
Michael Harris Broken Finger 6
Kyle Iba Dislocated Finger 1

Otherwise another 10-6 sim...more analysis needed.

Put my real team in for this sim, and we went a solid 9-4. That's not so great, however, considering that some other teams were playing their backups. Other then that, there were nice surprises after seeing several of my players' defensive ratings improved with a position change.

Cant complain with an 8-3 division leading record.

Buck was hurt for 2 games and the better part of a 3rd, in those games McHale went off and averaged nearly 20/10 for the sim.

Game 1: 33/14/1/2/3
Game 2: 21/14/1/0/0
Game 3: 29/17/2/2/3

Starting Butler over Cho certainly seemed to pay dividends on both ends of the floor, as we had less turnovers, more points, better ball movement.

Very interesting sim.

Taught me quite a few things:

Barton is everything he was advertised to be. 20ppg on 52%, 92%, 59% - are you kidding me? Made 41/70 3s. As if the shooting percentages werent enough...12.4apg with 1.8topg!! His preseason 2 highlights included a 25 pt, 20 ast game and a triple double with 19 pts, 16 asts and 10 rebs. He's incredible. Player of the Month.

Calvin Natt can seriously get it done. 19.6ppg, 10.8 rpg as a 6'6 PF, and a non-option! He may stay at PF for the real season.

Reggie King can also play. 11.4ppg on 49% and 8.7rpg from the SG position. His defense isn't what I would want it to be, but 9 boards from your SG is invaluable.

Looks like we will be fielding a starting lineup of Cunningham-Natt-King-TuckerORArbogast-Barton...If I decide to start Arbogast, we're gonna play fast and take alot of outside shots - if they fall we could scare a few teams.

i didn't know we had decided to rerun the first 20 games, I was hoping to average out minutes between players to compare stats, plus I had Rivera benched because he was injured in the previous preseason. Otherwise I was happy with what i saw, Toney's ready to be a league leading scorer, although he's going to set records for turnovers if i don't tame him down and Uner is as advertised a brilliant PG.

James Clardy was very impress as the starting center.  12pts/11rebs/3.7blks.  I was shocked to see Frank Johnson avg 26.5pts/9.3apg/2.7stl and off course 4.2TOs as the second option.  He put up some Isiah Thomas numbers. Cheers

Same record, with very different results.
With Luol Deng starting, the Warriors were a dominant rebounding team, but turned the ball over  liek crazy.

With Michael O'Neil starting, we are now a bad rebounding team, with very good defense...

Don Collins was great, shooting great percentages.  And O'Neil is shooting well, and stealing every pass that gets near him.
Still have alot of experimenting to do...

dc was messed up sim 1, now it was fine, but same, we went 5-3 again, and pretty much the same production from all the players LOL. Except Trump liked more this tactics then Bolinger did those in sim 1. Good to know.

Oh yeah, and one big thing, Yao went Yaos ways with this tactics, he played to reserved with those in sim 1.

Well, I've become a believer in Mr. Zollner's abilities, feel a little more certain about Mr. Macy's best role, liked what I saw from Mr. Brooks, and am beginning to appreciate Mr. Gminski's versatility.

My preseason sim 2 DC was ignored, the same used as in sim 1.
Not really happy about that ...

Not surprisingly Celtics went 6-8 AGAIN. But 12 of those 14 games had the exact opposite outcome as in sim 1, only the losses to Jazz and Knicks were the same.

EVERYONE of my starters had exactly the same statistics (ppg, rpg, apg all were within 1 for bot sims), even percentages hardly varied. So much for the "facing different opponents" bias, it simply doesn't exist ...

nothing else is really helping me along ...

this time i lost 3 more games but it seems that i can make the POs again this year. which is amazing since my team is considered league wide as a lottery one.

peters is really the steal of the draft imo. He avg over 30pts and is playing solid defense. just ask the kings... he completly destroyed magic.

Wow, the season hasn't even started and we have a frontrunner for "Quote of the year" already.

Quincy Peters ... the steal of the draft.

For those of you having troubles locating Peters in your draft transaction log, let me assist you. He was drafted in 2008 (yup, that's 12 seasons ago) with the 9th pick (where usually steals are made, as we all know) and his glorious history since include a season where he didn't play one second (2012), a season he saw 5.5mpg in 17 games (2016) and one very recent season on his CURRENT team Pacers where this superstar played less than 14mpg (2017).
He's also on his 6th team now, so I guess some GMs here have seriously troubles scouting players on their OWN team ...
