SSBA is alive again, after a long hard winterweekend.

Sim 4 has been completed, and this was going on casualties-wise:

 Hornets Crawford out 8 days and Prantmair out 7 days. Man, they were missed ... (happened on day 31)
 TWolves Gooden out 24 days. Something torn like a piece of paper (31)
 Cavs Philip Meyers out 9 days. He's #12 on their DC anyway ... (34)
 Magic Profit out 8 days. Can only help ... (35)
 Rockets Holman out 7 days. Lucky guy, i've seen severe migraines last 56 days with Dirk ... (36)
 Clippers Sura out 27 days. As if they would even recognize it ... (36)
 Suns Pavel I-Pod out 8 days with broken finger (!). Quick healer apparently ... (37)
 Sonics English-man out 14 days. Just a short 2weeks vacation with the kids ... (37)
 Sonics Peck out 7 days. C'mon, wanna join Nick & the family ? (38)
 Pacers Ruiz out 7 days with broken finger (!). Even quicker healer ... (38)
 Heat's Weatherspoon inflammed his appendix. Will take 8 days to cool down ... (39)
 Bulls Marion out 9 days with the same. Just needs a day longer in the fridge ... (39)
 Blazers Nolan "former max contract" Johnson out 6 days. Test driving his three new Ferrari Testarossa's ... (40)
 Suns DelNegro out 6 days. Hey Jamal, how's life been down south ? (40)

That's it for now. Nobody out for the season, only Sonics will feel it for longer ...

Cavs stay red-hot, winning 6 straight after surprisingly falling to the lowly Celtics (who amazingly amessed a streak of their own - now that needs further analysis), and taking back the league's best record.
Rockets, Magic, Jazz and Heat stay close behind, while Spurs and Bulls lost some ground. Grizz fell out of the playoff picture, but that's not a bad thing, because ...

TAM TAM TAM TAM TAM (hypnotic drum beat)

 ... for the first time in like 5 zillion years ...

TATAM TATAM TATAM TATAM TATAM (even more hypnotic drum beat)

... all 16 current playoff teams ...

TAMTAMTAMTAMTAM (hypnotic drum beat nearing the climax)

... have a ...

TAMMMMMMMMMM (single drum beat of hypnotic intensity)

... winning record !!!

 Hail Hail Hail Hail Hail Hail Hail

Congratulations, we might need to frame this standings snaphot for future generations.

Enjoy ... and discuss !
 Cheers

un-be-lievable.

after sucking for two straight sims I went  into "nothing to lose" mode and let Dirk at least EARN his 20 million contract. And guess what, the old one can still ball. 19ppg, 3rpg, 2apg starting at SF ... and most important leading my team to a 7-1 record with huge wins over Cavs, Magic, Wizards and Mavericks. I guess THIS expiring is off the market for now ...

Also tried Everette Strait as #1 scoring option ... and he did like it. 16ppg on 50% shooting is fine with me. Tyler was relieved of the scorer's burden and responded with 15ppg, 14rpg and 5.2bpg. Amazing.

Happy to see my backcourt back in action. Chills shooting is still in the low 40ies, but he's coming along. And Perry easily had his best sim this season too.

#8 seed currently, after being far off the playoff picture already, let's hope we can prove this sim was no fluke ...
 Cheers

18-10, I hope the guys can keep chugging along toward the playoffs since I dont have my own pick.

Fuqua continues to impress me. Off the bench in under 30min he is averaging 13.0/9.5/1.8/0.9/1.1

I think he is my best acquisition so far.

peters did a fine job stepping up in his new role as a scorer.
he had 33/7 and held keogan to 17pts, followed that by never scoring less than 22pts
in the sim he avg. 25pts 7.5 rebs from the SG position.
boykins also did a fine job with avg. 21pts 6rebs

really like my offense game but defense needs a lot of improvement

... and 6 reb per game from your starting PF - with a starting C averaging less than 8rpg - won't get you many wins in any league.

But i guess this is a transition season for the Pacers anyway ...

Can't wait till the Kings find out they are already down where they belong in the standings.
Count another lost season despite Magic and Mr. Turnover Isiah ...

Nice bounce back sim.  My team needs to work on our defense more and VK needs to score more.  He has been average so far.

VK is used to tossing up 60% of the team's shots.
Get him that freedom and he'll be way more happy.

i will take 6 rebounds from my starting SF anyday  Smile. my starting pf had over 10 per game.  Thumbs Up
maybe you should take a deeper look into your cyrstal ball ..because you obviously didnĀ“t look into my Dc.  Moon
but i guess it is easier to bash someone without taking a look at his lineup. Shocked

I want him to take more shots but I think Harris, Okafor and Bailey wouldn't let him.

Woohoo!

#1 in the West right now, and 2nd best win% in the League!

I have a lot of different people contributing, particularly on the boards:

Abdur-Rahim = 10.8rpg
Holman = 9.5rpg
Strong = 9.7rpg
AK47 = 7.2rpg
Wade = 5.5rpg

...apart from that we are just running and gunning people! 107.7ppg
