Really weird to look at the bottom of the Conference standings and see myself and the Hornets.

Arbogast continues to play exceptionally well while Max really really struggles with the sub-par quality of his teammates.

Overall it ain't gonna be a pretty season.

well, 3-2 start to the season. Not great but also not bad.

With Childress getting just 15ppg on 37% and fellow starter Iba scoring 7ppg on 24% (that with offense being his ONLY "strength") I can't expect any more. In fact, without a (huge) 1pt win at Chicago and a 2pt win over the lowly Pacers it could have been much worse.

My frontcourt was nothing short of spectacular. Not so much Tyler, tho 18ppg, 15rpg and 3.5bpg aren't shabby, but Strait finally did provide what i'm waiting for 3 seasons now. 20.5/12.5/1.5 and great defense against studs like Amare and Boykins.
Cheers

Rookie Orlando did well too, 10ppg on 51% are a cry for more PT.

overall, a decent start into the season ...
 Cool

5-3 isn't bad, I lost to the Nuggets twice, I just don't have an answer right now for Ransey. Dial is a defensive powerhouse out of the gates with 2.8 steals and 4.4 bpg. I started off the season breaking my team record of steals in a single game with 26.

Theus is scoring 18 a game and shooting above 50% from the field and 3. Toney is playing extremely well and throwing in 2.3 spg.

After some roster tweaks, watch out for the Jazz.

some observations:

The dominant Cavs lost a home game to start the season, surprise, surprise. And later they allowed the Sixers their only win so far, in Cleveland as well. Even more suprising, after THAT dominance in preseason ...

Look at KG in his first game at age 40: a 31/20 effort against the Spurs AlJeff in a convincing win.

Look at former mega-star Garrett Pettit in his first game this season. 17/5 and 5 TO against O'neil in a convincing home loss. Is that the end of the guy who was the dominating player in SSBA for a long time? And just like that he holds Keogan to 10/0/4 on 2-10 shooting while scoring 26 himself on 13 shots. Nice recovery ...

Lost two games to start off the season and then won four straight.  Not really happy with my bench since they didn't produce anything.  Okafor 15/18 Shocked and Bailey 22/14 off to a flying start.

5-3 start, with two losses on the road by a combined 4 points, so its not all that disappointing. Got COMPLETELY shut down by the Bulls (shot 29.3%  Shocked). Overall, something wasn't clicking though, as some players *really* struggled during some of the games. Some tweaking will need to be done to straighten out some of the blips.

Not so nice... Smile  Seems like it will be another long season.

Though I am pleased with the play of a couple players like Tripucka, Mahorne, Sura

2-3 isn't so bad.  I only have two players in double figures scoring, I would like to see Nolan Friedman or Shabinger step up into the 3rd scorers role.  For now I will take this start, a few off-season changes are what I blame for the sub .500 start.  I think this is an around .500 team and I plan on being a low seed and getting into the playoffs for the first time.

It is far to early to judge my team now.  I am happy with my 5-1 start but 6-0 would have been better.  Every player played exactly how I wanted them to.  Zack Profit was out for 2 3/4 games.  In that span we had our only loss to the Timberwolves whom are among the elite in the West this season.  I think Profit might have made a big change in the game but we will take it and move on.  The Phil Ford/Vito Ramsey combo is working well for me.  I just do not like the idea of have 16 million playing 12 minutes/game.  I do not expect this record to hold up.  My offense is spectacular and my defense can be improved upon.  Showtime is back for sim 1 anyway!! Cheers

7-1 and atop the west.  Looks impressive until you see that I only played 2 teams with winning records and I split those games.  So basically I beat up on the teams that a top team should beat up.  Next sim will give a better reading on where this team stands.

Melo out for 40 days.  That's a big ouch.

Arenas and Kundla are capable at that spot though, so we'll see how well the fort is held.
