he's the guy that lifted them from "making the playoffs" to "playing for the conference title" status in recent years. But I guess 29 GMs here would choose Magic over him anyway.

Phelps is unstopable. i was refering to DEFENSE in that game, Magic 4-13 from floor on Phelps C defense, IMPRESSIVE !! And Phelps always has high to's 'cause he plays PG/SG/SF in rotation, im used with that. |

i was just joking with Ivan how Magic had a poor shooting night vs a guy who cant defend a shit and is not a superstar or anything (on my team he is sort of 'cause without him i would be lotto last season), Phelps has been TOP 10 in topg since being a Blazer, that's nothing new.

i agree that parker isn´t deserving an allstar nomination over guys like melo, josh or even odom. but even worse is the selection in the east imo. taking both kidd and carter and leaving out the bulls completly is horrible. i expect from coaches that they also take team record into their consideration. imagine if skiles would have had the honor to coach the game without anyone from his team  |

I disagree on that. What have the Bulls done so far? They're underachieving big time. And i don't see a single guy who's having a all start season on that team. They work as a unit, as a team. Who's their best player anyway? Kirk Hinrich? 15ppg and 6apg? Those are not all star numbers. Specially when your team is 3 games above .50 in a laughable East.
And speaking of Nets, i have no idea why people are against Carter and Kidd being a All Stars. That's stupid. With all the injuries they have Nest are definitely overachievements. It's really a wonder how they manage to win with basically 2 people. That team is pathetic, and the only reason why they're in a playoff run and a dangerous opponent every night are Carter and Kidd. They definitely deserve it IMO.

OMG, what a bull.... no, the Nets are not deserving a playoff spot with leading a division with a sub .500 record. Oops sorry, they are behind the AllStar squad of the Raptors. The only reason why they are still holding onto the 8th spot is tha fact that Shaq and Redd were injured for the majority of the season. They'll drop out soon. Carter wouldn't even start for a team like the Bulls. (at least he wouldn't make them any better). And talking Bulls: Kirk is their best man defender, kind of a Bruce Bowen with handles and a shot, who can (and has to) run a team apart from defending. But the most deserving guy, responsible for the majority of their wins, is 22ppg Ben Gordon. He's shooting a better % from everywhere than Carter and does it for a winning team. Sorry, but Carter is just living from his past achievements nowadays. (similar to Stevie Non-Franchise, who got more allstar votes than Rip Hamilton !!!!) |
