It's been simmed up to day 34, so the total statistics are now cummulated for preseason sim 1 and 2. Cavs were even hotter this sim, losing a mere game to hold the league's best record at 19-4 currently (and showing my Celtics where they belong in the process) Nuggets were even better in sim 2, winning all 10 games. (guess the Nuggets pick won't be lottery, Mavs) and for the rest, check yourself: http://preseason.ssbabasketball.com/preseason2/(btw, since you asked: if i was clever enough to save the league file BEFORE simmind preseason 1 i would have done days 1-17 again, but i wasn't, and doing 29 complete DCs is about three times the effort than doing the changes only now. The only people truly hurt by this are those who have injured players - like Mahor missing all but 3 days in sim 2. Special sorry to them ... but hey, in real life you can get injured in preseason too, and that is NOT nullified for the real season start, so feel lucky !) Stats of the day: By 48min averages ! PPG: Dwight Howie (54.6ppg !!!) / Stevie Schmaltz (40.3) / Gatling (38.9) RPG: Laporte (20.5rpg) / Barner (19.2) / Priddy (19.1) APG: Milner (12.9apg) / Arbogast (12.7) / Ramsey (12.7) SPG: Brewer (4.4spg) / Uner (4.2) / Alvin Schenk (4.1) BPG: J.Holton (5.9bpg) / Darren Fleisher (5.7) / Munson (5.5) TOPG: Mason Mercer (7.8topg) / Eschmeyer (6.9) / Caleb Fowler (6.6) enjoy ...

note to the Raptors: I can't put two people on IL if you only have 12 players on your roster, so unfortunately they both did play - even heavy minutes - despite not being in your DC. and a note to all GMs:For the regular season, bods will start with a FRESH league file. No injuries or statistics carry over from the preseason, and NO DC SETTINGS TOO !!! So please submit FULL DCs for sim 1 and no need to bold changes, it's a fresh start anyway. When you put "SAME" bods will most likely use "cpu recommended" - at least i would ... and yet another note to all GMs:when you submit a DC, the correct order for game settings is: pace trap press off focus that's how it's entered into FBB. If you put press before trap in your DC I might have missed that (i tried to check it, but after 20+ DCs you lose concentration), so please change it for the regular season to avoid confusion. And yes, I have seen about 5 different versions of this order in preseason, so it IS worth mentioning. Thanks !

Very pleased with Yao...who dropped over 30PPG in this sim after not playing the first sim.
Nicklaus English came close to three triple doubles.
Wiley Peck is a dominant small-man on the glass.
Rolando Blackman might not win ROY, but he could be the most important rookie this year if he keeps up this kind of play. (14.1 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 3.1 APG, 2.0 SPG in 36.5 MPG)
All in all, this could be a very good squad

10-2 this sim moving to the top of the west. Still with a couple regular starters coming from the bench. Also completed a sweep of the Cavs accounting for 2 of their 4 losses. Further analysis is needed but a couple youngsters look like they may be sticking around.

Thanks ! just wondering for an easier work for bods. when you're done putting in the dc, can you like save the file and send it to him instead before simming? so that bods would only change a little

As expected, my backourt is doing great but defense and huge hole inside is hard to overcome. I'll try with smaller lineup and faster pace to compensate somehow this gigantic hole inside the paint.

Toyed with Munson backing up C and PF, and overall while I liked what I saw, he's my best bet to start at the 4. McHale is a pretty decent scorer at the 3, and Macauley has shown enough signs that I might just keep him around. Al Wood has shown enough flashes that as a late pick, he's a nice addition. I think King's position might have been mis-entered as he was listed at PF and I keep him at the 3, but he seemed to hold his own there too. Not sure which way Im going to go with my guard rotations - probably what I ran last year - nothing conclusive enough at first blush to help me make me change my mind.
Ended up 13-8 (5-4 this sim), so this bodes pretty well for the regular season when I play my two best scorers. Looking forward to Fridays sim.

So incase no one else noticed, we went 10-0 that sim with the most minor changes possible. Time to look at the box scores, everyone else must have been playing scrubs.

My frontline is very very exciting.
Gminski: 33.4min, 16.0ppg, 10.4reb, 1.8stl, 1.6blk
Buck Williams: 31.8min, 18.1ppg, 11.4reb, 2.4ast but only 0.8stl, 0.9blk
Fuqua: 29.5min (never started a game, backup C/PF/SF) 14.6ppg, 9.5reb, 1.2blk
Team was 4th in rebounding as a whole, but Ransey's 4+ turnovers are going to trouble me. Just not sure what I am going to do with my SF/SG rotation involving Donta Smith and rookie Albert King and throw in Michael Brooks (11/6).

good to see i've kept #2 despite putting some cripples to play to see how they'll do ....and cripples cant play....Ahye was solid, Kittles is completely useless, Livingstone is a pimp, Phelps is amazing, Booz is Booz and Buehler will have most likely his best career season this time after improving his inside/outside shooting and handles this TC. No heavy losses except vs Bucks(but we beat them as well) and thats good, we can obviously play against any team. Phelps played with Magic like a little baby

Tyler at PF is far less effective than at C, which will make my rotation an interesting task for the first few sims. Orlando Woolridge did suprisingly well starting at SF, getting good rebounds and a fine shooting % while playing anyone not named Manning or McHale pretty well. He'll make a nice bench player. Same thing can't be said for Mr. Veen who clearly lost his backup spot to fellow 2nd rounder Dylan Pettit. Chills is just Chills, which is perfectly fine with me, and the return of Perry should bolster my backcourt productivity. btw, Jamal Sampson held Dwight Howard below his "per 48min average" of 54.6ppg. Sure, the manchild scored 55 on 20-42 shooting, but he also played 50min in that Magic OT victory. Well done !

Phelps played with Magic like a little baby Um, wooooow, 23 pts, 6to's on a 11-26 of shooting. Phelps is unstopable.
