The first of two preseason sims has been completed. (I did sim 17 days, so every team has played at least 10 games.) Watch the results HERE: http://preseason.ssbabasketball.com/preseason1/Results won't have too much impact, since most teams rested their top starters, but a few developments could be seen: the Cavs show no signs of letting down. Expect the title quest to run through them again. And for your convenience, some stats you can't see easily: the rookie rankingsPPG . Isiah 23.1 / tripucks 18.4 / Frank johnson 18.1 RPG . Laimbeer 11.4 / Zollner 10.8 / Buck williams 9.9 APG . Isiah 8.4 / Frank Johnson 7.0 / Franklin Edwards 6.0 SPG . Blackman 2.1 / Isiah 2.0 / Zollner 1.9 BPG . Herb Williams 2.9 / Zollner 1.9 / Nance 1.8 TOPG . Isiah 4.0 / Franklin Edwards 3.1 / Frank Johnson 3.0 FG% . Albert King .540 / Laimbeer .487 / Isiah .479 FT% . Albert King .825 / Frank Johnson .808 / Semjonova .800 3P% . Franklin Edwards .667 / Al Wood .577 / Tripucka .469 so enjoy ... and discuss

exciting. Best record in the league, despite resting Perry, Chills and Dirk. Tyler leading the league with 15.3 boards and 3.9 blocks. Maybe he IS a C after all ... I have a gut feeling this could be a season I will enjoy ...

8-4, but most games at home, 2nd in West, i never trust those pre-sims 'cause they just give clues about the team and are very different from regular season, i put my best lineup this time, lets see how others work next pre-sim.

I am impressed with a few players on my team who i gave big minutes to test them out.
Kenny Dickerson did extremely well with 14 ppg, 11 rpg, and 2 bpg. I am definitally going to give him a lot of backup minutes this season. My rookie, Herb Williams, is a shot blocking machine getting nearly 3 bpg. he will also get some top backup minutes this season. However, I am most impressed with my MLE pickup who is getting 23 ppg as my first option with .536 fg
Frankie Sanders is a disappointment. He did not improve at all and is shooting terribly. I was alos hoping for bigger numbers from Omeara but he was not going to get a big role anyways.
Also, my after fa min. signing of Holt turned out incredibly well as he got a player of the week award. I had originally planned on using Dench as my backup but this has changed things.
Last thing. I am really disappointed with the shooting percentages for some key players on my team and they need to improve.

Well my bigs are great: Gminski with 17/9 and Buck with very close to 17/10, and Fuqua with 14/10 off the bench looks like an early 6th man candidate.
The problem still is scoring, I am not giving up that many ppg, but not scoring enough. Time to play with Preseason 2 DC and see what I can come up with.

Scott Provost is nice surprise. Guess i have a tougher battle for the starting spot at Pg than i expected. Scott shot a high % and lead my team in scoring and ass while only being a third option.

this sucks. at least kent had a 19 and 8 outing. Holton is a beast 3.8 bpg. 1 block shy off a triple double by holton.Holton was a fgraking steal. a few games later, 11, 23 and 5 blocks. 12, 13 and 5 against the raptors. McCracken was disappoint only a 12 ,13 and 5 block performance.

Basically a .500 sim. Took a good look at some youngsters. Also tried some different players as my options. Had only two of my regular starters listed - Swift & Gragg. Jefferson & Uner played as I expected them to off the bench. Mitchell only played 15 minutes in 13 games.
Wu looks good after improvement in his second TC. He gives four big men that I can use. As the #2 option his shooting % could be higher but I was surprised by his assts & blocks.
Shireman appears to be a good MLE pickup. His turnovers are a little high but his shooting (.500, .826, .525) is great from the PG spot as a 3rd option.
Gragg, my regular starter at SG, played well last season as a non-option. Setting him as the #1 option didn't seem to slw him down and he may see more time as the top option.
I'll move a few players around and see what happens in the second preseason sim...

Went without my two best offensive players (and starting PG on the bench) and pulled off an 8-4 record. I'm alittle befuddled about my big rotation as I now have too many guys for the two positions thanks to Macauley's development and need to sort that out. Kyle Macy was very good starting and as an option - the competition is on between him and Mags for starting PG and backup combo guard. Al Wood looks like a player, too.

Some interesting stuffs.
Isiah can flat out play. Sure, it's only a preaseason but this guy looks like a all star. Now, one thing that worried me the most, can he coexist with Magic? His numbers are way down. If this trend continues, one of them could go. And i would say i would rather keep Zeke. But we'll see about that.
Also, Tom Chambers looks good. Around 15pts and 10rpg as a third option. He's going to be a one heckava player.
13pts, 8rebs, 9as vs the Knicks 24pts, 12rebs vs the Nets 16pts, 17rebs vs the Sixers 23pts, 11rebs vs the Raptors 28pts, 12rebs vs the Wolves
He's % is bad and is oftenly getting in foul trouble be i'm pretty impressive with his first performances.
Now, onto Isiah.
21pts, 3st, 6as, 5rebs vs the Sixers 26pts, 10as vs the Wizards 21pts, 8as, 9rebs vs the Knicks 17pts, 14as, 8rebs vs the Wolves 36pts, 10as, 4st vs the Blazers 34pts, 8as, 4st vs the Nets 22pts, 8as, 5rebs vs the Grizzlies 23pts, 11as vs Raptors 34pts, 11as vs the Suns
Trully insane numbers.
