The Grizzlies do not agree. I said I would likely do the deal but I never said its final. I am posting this now as soon as I saw it. I am still considering this offer but i am not ready to do it yet.

c'mon guys, get reasonable.

there has to be some freedom to still do trade talks or negotiations. A deal is a deal if some team says "accepted, post it". And the other team posts THEN. Not earlier and not later.

If I send out "how about x for y" that's not an acceptance yet. This is an offer. If this offer is accepted I can accept it as well ... or don't accept it. I send out a lot of similar offers and I want to have freedom to choose which one among those I finally do myself.

I agree, which is what I was doing. Though I do not blame him for thinking it was pretty much a done deal because I drafted the player that he wanted. Still, I never agreed to the trade.

I hope when you say "c'mon guys, get reasonable", it has nothing to do with me...  I had a PM that said "Post it", but I guess I wasn't fast enough so I caught the fucking shaft...  I have been here since the "New SSBA" and have put alot of time in here, but I am real close to being strictly DJSL...  Just tired of putting up with certain shit...

okay to clear some things up. he asked me if i trade shane for king and the 14th pick and i said only if the 14th pick is herb. then he asked if i promise i will do it and i said yes i will do. that did sound for me pretty clear. There was never an if or i would do it maybe in our talk. We even talked about different options and he told me he wouldn´t have herb on his list without me. for me it was clear that he drafted herb because he wanted to make the deal. I am sure in our talk there was never an 'i will consider it and talk to you back'.

Yes, I can confirm that is all true. It was only an offer, though one I was pretty close to doing considering I drafted the guy you wanted.

don't get me wrong, it's pretty unfortunate the Grizzlies have been part of both "sorry-no" trades but this deal here is not their fault as much as the Pistons one is.

The Pacers posted too early without getting a clear "yes", no problem, that's why we (aka Grizz) have the option to answer "no" if it was only a misunderstanding.

but they accepted to the Pistons, which - in my view - should give the Pistons ONLY the right to say "deal" or "no deal", at least for some time (which has to be more than 9 minutes). Under the rules here I'd make such an "accepted offer" binding for at least 12 if not 24 hours. (Like it's in the real business world too, if you make an offer you give the other party a certain amount of time to accept it.) But then again, it's not my league ...

(no i remember why in my own league DJSL i only accept POSTED trades - by both parties - to avoid such bad blood. That way there's no need to have these discussions ...)

I guess I should have posted it and ignored the other PM...  But then again, that would lower me the the GrizzGM's level...  I tried to be fair and honest and got fucked...
