Um...you forgot about Amare & Hinrich on that team as well? It's not like Shaq and Pettie are lonely outhere.

I'd make a case for how my 5 owns every other 5, but I'm sure everyone feels that way.
Not picking a team that had Yao on it is silly though, if you ask me. The three leaders are Nets, Hornets and Raptors in my books.

As i said, there's too much offense on your team and very little defense. I mean, Melo, Peja and Hoffa. That's major hole in defense on 3 various position. I don't think even Yao could cover that up.
And not picking a team with Yao, well, how many titles he won in the last 10+ years? One.

and don´t forget if you go by position the raptors would loose at the most battles.
for example suns who are a much discussed team are clear better than raps imo
Pg battle could be close maybe even a small adv. to raps. Sg is big in favor of suns imo SF again suns are better PF TD was the best PF hands down in SSBA ever C Yao is better than shaq
so raps would loose that battle imo.

If you make criteria, everyone can fill it
There are no standards, so everyone is just listing thei most prolific scorers at each position. I could list Yao and another 4 who would put up 100 a game while holding opposition to 80. Instead, I listed my best scorers.
Yao Swift Chills Melo Baron Davis
Thats one of the best defensive teams ever. It also includes 2 of the best pure scorers (both 30+ ers) and 3 other guys that can put up 15 a night.

That's why i went with Suns, Hornets and Mavs. Those teams has it all. Offense and defense, complete package.

But, if we're talking about people in their prime i belive Kings are right there, maybe even a top 2.
PG - Magic Johnson SG - Tracy Mcgrady SF - Dirk Nowitzki PF - Tim Duncan C - Rafael Araujo or Marcus Camby who was a absolute beast on defense.
That's just a insane lineup with shortest player being 6'6. I doubt anyone could match this team on a slower pace.

well, Magic will surely get there one day. Right now he's putting up huge numbers on a bad team. But the more this discussion here goes on, the more it's getting clear this whole "franchise player lineups" gets you nowhere. Nearly everyone here had Dirk at some point and quite a few others switched teams frequently as well. But not a single of those teams ever played one damn game with that lineup. (There is a reason, a "team of the century" is hardly ever compared with another one of those, you simply can't compare teams based on players in their prime. Take Dirk for example. On the Sonics he was unbelievable, the best flawless playoff performance on a not-even-great team I've ever seen. On the Warriors he was still good but a step below. On the Celtics he's a nice and very old vet. It's pretty useless trying to imaging a Dirk in his prime on my team) What i'd like to see is which ACTUAL TEAM was the best in league history. Who would win a title if the great 2013 Nets, the late 2016 Hornets, the red hot 2008 Raptors, the 2012 Warriors, the 2010 Clippers, the UNBEATEN 2009 Sonics of course, or probably even the 2018 Mavs played each others. See, Ivan, that's a point where it's me preferring REAL teams over the FICTIONAL CRAP you're seeking here ...
