People here in Beantown are pretty excited about the new season kicking off in a few hours.

Marion, my undisputed leader the past 3 seasons is gone (with Dirk and Kwame possibly following soon) and some new faces came in, led by former #1 pick John Tyler and former #1 pick (round 2) Darius Perry. Expectations here are a lot less compared to past seasons since this is most likely a transition season for the Celtics, going younger ... but not "rookie-type" younger, i'm over with these experiments.

One thing is clear, this team will be HUGE early on, since my starters and backups look like this:
C  6'11" / 6'11"
PF 6'9" / 6'11"
SF 6'10" / 6'11"
SG 7'0" / 6'8"
PG 6'0" / 6'0"
Will have to be seen if these guys can defend the quicker and better passing teams.

Season goal: finding a rotation, especially a SG starter, and making the playoffs.
 Cheers

I probably have one of the tallest starting lineup with 6'5 being the shortest.

can't wait for this sim. I'll be having Chase come off the bench this time to maintain the bench scoring with Biedrins being an option for my team for like the 3rd time in his Magic career. the new look Magic never got to play healthily next year. And Dwight and Darko will now be starting the season playing together. I'm looking at at least a total of 6bpg average from the 3D of Darko, Dwight and Dickerson.

Gaylor will also be playing some role and will slowly be injected into the lineup.

That's exactly my worries, being too slow on defense. Hope the scoring will come shared from all angles, with nobody getting 30pt games but lot's of 15-20pt games.

Now that I have Perry I should at least try him play starter for once. I know what Trump can do for me, i don'T know what Perry can.

And for the only true SG. I have no "classic" SG, but I have lots of guys who should be able to survive there. BDiddy, Przybilla, Tower, Perry, Vinnie. Expect a lot of rotation until I have found my preferred lineup ...

Nuggets are once again hoping to see improvement from the youth. We dont have playoff aspirations yet this season, as I dont think I have the overall talent. However with such a young core I can only see us getting better every year, hoping that my plan comes to fruition next year as we make the playoffs then.

I would really like to see both Ransey and Gminski challenge for ROY this year and see my team inch closer to .450 ball as a realistic goal.

The Raptors find themselves at a bit of a crossroads. One season removed from a Championship, and a clear contender last year...but a rather terrible TC has us thinking that this may be the time to rebuild with approx 60 mil coming off the cap after this season including three starters.

The Spurs are poised for another deep run into the playoffs with a nice mix of youth and vets.  Returning our top six from last year's conference finals team with some nice development in younger prospects is raising fan expectations.

But at the same time management realizes that this team is a piece away from the rings.  Behind the scenes discussions have been initiated to see if that missing piece can be found.  Or to add some futre flexibilty with the cap and draft.

Well, the Warriors are looking prettty through TC.
Really just hoping for a maybe a 7th or 8th spot for the playoffs.
The youngsters did pretty well in TC, and it should be quite inteersting to see how they do.

With 2 A defenders at the swing positions, the perimeter defense should be pretty good this year.

Better?
 Laughing

At Shultz' age LAST season Marion averaged 28ppg, 9rpg, 3apg, 2spg on 47% fg, 81% ft and 44% from 3pt. And he went to the line 600+ times (Shultz: 20.8ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.8apg, 2.4spg, 46% fg, 68% ft, 37% 3pt, 400+ FTA)

At Shultz' age THIS season Marion upped his averages to 32.4ppg, 9.7rpg and 48% shooting.

All this with terrific A+ defense.

Shultz is not even CLOSE yet, waaaaaaaay to go, man.
 Cheers

8 of my first 9 games are on the road.  Not a good combination for a young team who hasn't really played together yet.  I'm hoping to pull out 4 wins, but I expect 2 or 3, just not a good situation for the young guys.

4-5, not bad, not good. Scoring a lot more than last season (up 13ppg) but also giving up more.

Excellent job by 1st overall pick Kelvin Ransey, avg 19pts 9.8ast as a non-option and shooting almost 53% from 3
5th overall Mike Gminski was steady with 16/7.7

Zack Profit down to 16ppg but likely because he actually has help now, as we have all 5 starters scoring 14.4ppg or more
