thanks for the sim. i guess i try to beat the record for most injuries in a year.
artest played a whopping 7mins before going down another 30+ days.
not that it would matter but after that english went down, followed again by priddy and to top it Lenard who is avg over 30pts is now injured also. So now 4 of my 5 starters are gone  Alcoholic

We're back on #1 where we belong WHAT DID I TELL YOU TODAY KINGS GM "You wont last long on #1).

6-2 sim, i was pretty scared as first 2 sims were experiments (i've made a mistake because i
shouldnt do it due to playing literally every game at home) and we went 7-7. 3rd sim was usual
winning sim but still we've played most of the games at home.

And then came a sim with some tough away games, and we managed 3 wins, however without Bird and
with lots of road games its gonna be tough to keep the nr.1 spot, i wish i never did what i did
in first 2 sims, few more wins and less losses would be a nice insurance over next few sims tough
schedule.

Hoffa is having best career season so far despite 3rd worst PPG average in career which is the
cause of now being only 3rd option on this team so its no suprise, but 13.4rpg 1.8bpg and 1.6topg
are his best averages in his career, i especially like the fact that now he gets me nearly 2bpg
which was impossible before, his best was 1.3 and his career average 1.1bpg, i tought we'll suck
completely after Curry trade but Hoffa put some effort in replacing Curry's blocking abilities.

One bad news...Bird out for 55 days

@Grizzlies +21 - Boozer 30/12, Phelps 26/6/6, Hoffa 25/18

@Mavs -11 - Hoffa 25/16, Phelps led the team with 27, Boozer lasted just 23 mins

@Clippers +34 - Phelps 30/5, Boozer 30/17, Telf 18/12, Hoffa 18/14

Lakers +28 - Phelps 35/8, Hoffa 28/15, Boozer added 17 rebs

Nuggets +9 - Pure team play

Spurs +36 - What a sweet revenge over Spurs, 7 players with more then 10 pts.

@Jazz +2 - Tough one, Hoffa 20/19.

Grizzlies -5 - Ridicolous, i trash them away and lose at home, dont get it.

A close loss to the Celtics ruined what would have been a perfect 8-0 sim, thanks mainly to my team's atrocious FT shooting, our only major weakness. I guess I'll have to settle for 7-1...

Well shit, i'm going to win the championship with this team. Maggette is playing well at C but is having some fouling problems. Kirilenko has done much better at pf, improving his scoring and rebounding a lot. Kundla is doing a servicable job at sf. Lord is underachieving at sg but thats the only place I can put him if i want to start Sandy Carter who is having a solid season. My MLE Trenton Lo has also been a big help off the bench. I don't really see many teams beating me because my team is so versatile. In the playoffs I can move Kirilenko anywhere from sg-pf to stop the teams best offensive player. I am really happy with this trade!

Well, that's nice to hear. I'm very happy with the players I received as well, however, the Nets are struggling to get results and play cohesively, which is understandable - I guess. Robertson is a legitimate post threat, and putting up solid numbers on the glass. Same goes for Zach - very solid. King has been fine, however, he has a ways to go on the offensive end. I have too little offence off the bench, though Macy is shooting impressive %'s. I need to find a combination that works a little more efficiently.

4-3 sim for the Mavs.  I love what I saw from Jeremy Palacio.  His A/T ratio is 4 to 1.  His best game was against the Spurs, 24pts, 7ast, 7rebs and 4 stls. Thumbs Up

not to play spoiler, but in your losses Palacio got 6/5/1 (opp Mike Mitchell 20/13), then 6/4/8 (Johnson had 13/7/4) and 7/3/1 (but at least he defended Reggie King to 4/3/1) plus another 3/3/6 in a win over the Spurs (Mitchell with a dbl-dbl yet again). I doubt that is what you got him for ...

some observations:

man, does it feel good to sweep a conference leading Kings team Smile
and multiple factors add to my joy:
- beat them on their home court
- Dirk wasn't playing
- Robey started at PF, Schabinger at SF
- Celtics scored 109pts on 54% shooting (a day later the Hornets managed 66pts on 30% !!!)
and Trump had some fun with rookie Johnson *lol*

Stocker for Griffin. That hurts

Beat the Kings (did I mention that yet? it was on the road, too !!!), Hornets (road) and Cavs (road)
Lost to the Bulls (road), Grizz (home) and Knicks (home again)
Strange.

Dirk returned to form with 23ppg on 51% shooting. Marion also got 21ppg and Trump chipped in 13 and 9apg
PF Ruben Robey of course was overmatched, but got 6/6 in his first starting sim and played decent defense. Still, he'll go back to the IL with Strait returning. His backup James also saw his first action this season and proved he can play. 7/6 in 18mpg. Sampson is a much better fit at PF than C, I guess I need to look for a defensive C.

Are you saying that Palacio sucks on defense or he is being out score by his opponents?

Here are the stats and take a good look at it.

Palacio in seven games avg.
10 points
5 rebs
5.14 ast
1.86 stl
0.57 TO

His opponents seven games avg starters only.
14 points
7 rebs
1.57 ast
0.57 stl
3 TO

Their FG% =0.404494.

Palacio held his opponents to 0.404494 FG% and 3 TO per game while giving up only 14.

...

A bit of both.

You forget to mention who were these All Stars Palacio defended so well:
Anderson Varejao (14ppg)
Charles Phelps (17ppg) - btw, he scored 27 pts on 40%
Mike Mitchell (13ppg)
George Johnson (11ppg)
Reggie King (6ppg)
just about everyone scored his average or better on a slightly lower %.

And defensively, these guys HELD Palacio to 10ppg (7.7ppg actually if you take out that one 24pt game) on 46%. Are these all defense team candidates ? well, the defensive ratings of the players above is 'B-', 'C', 'B-', 'A-' and 'B'.

But YOU have to be satisfied, and it seems you are.
It's just my believe Purvis Short could match that "production" with a blindfold ...

ok, ok, i give you credit for having a little bit of injury problems.

that's unheard of actually. the only positive is that English went down as well. That guy has cost you so many wins this year it's in fact the worst that can happen ... for your opponent !

but hey, at least you still got your ... DAMN !!!

Its a shame that Short's stats were better. See last post on page 1 of this thread Very Happy

Nice improvement going 2-3 after my trades.

Purvis Short scored 16+ in 3 of 5 games, averaging 14.4pts and 5.6reb on 47% shooting this sim. Solid.

and to finish the comparison, look at the defense from Short:

Short held opponents to 12ppg on 39% shooting and forced 3.6 TOs
Smile

and the most telling comparison would be Phelps, since you both played the Blazers this sim:

vs. Mavs & Palacio: Charles Phelps SF 40mn 9-23fg 3-5 6-6 3rb 3as 2pf 0stl 7to 27pt
vs. Nuggs & Short: Charles Phelps SF 36mn 7-19fg 0-2 0-0 1rb 12as 2pf 2stl 8to 14pt

against Phelps Short got 16/5/7 on 7-12 shooting
against Phelps Palacio got 14/7/5 on 5-13 shooting

winner: Short
