Guys, don't bring up what you offered in this thread.  Those are private discussions.

sorry Ivan, but why would anybody take a 32yr old big man over a 29yr old big man PLUS a pick ?
the old guy has less offense but nice reb and blocks shots. the younger guy has top offense and defense too.

I was thinking about Zach.

Sure, he got Roberston is other deal but he also gave Maggette for him. So, when you draw the line it's the same as Zach for Lord swap which is just terrible imo.

Wow. Just checking on this thread now, and it's a little hot in here for me  Laughing. I don't have too much to say in response other than I'm reloading.

To the guys saying I didn't get defense back, I know I gave more than I got - but I acknowledged this, and I was looking for more offence particularly up front.

To the guys saying I didn't get youth back, I did get Reggie King who I liked quite a bit and who can be, IMO, a pretty special 3. In fact, I don't think anyone mentionned him at all - and he was the key piece from my perspective.

Plus, I have had some success with later firsts in my FBB experience - so I don't think of that as a wasted asset. I have seen a handful of teams move firsts because they anticipate their team being beter than it ends up - which happens from time to time. In addition to this, Zach and Robertson provide depth to my frontcourt which should make for an easier transition for Nolan Friedman, which has value to me. And finally, it opens the door for Mike O'Neil and Kyle Macy to develop. If the early returns are any indication, this is the weak link of the trade - I am not getting what I expected out of the two of them as yet. Zach, Robertson and King have been very good so far, and with some tweaking, I think my guard situation will sort itself out.

About Seymore not being an answer long-term at the point, well, I'm confident in him and I'll leave it mostly at that. When he's been an option, he's been very good.

But thank for the feedback. I appreciate it  Cheers

Well, you're right - it was a crappy sim, but my guards were very inefficient and I think that can be improved - I focused on an inside oriented offence which froze everyone else out. I was also 1-4 the sim before that with Maggette and Lord, so it happens.

We'll see how it plays out.
