Ah, costly to keep Jason Richardosn here in Golden State...

But, with so many teams with cap space this year, and a lot of teams in need of a shooting guard, how could I not?  He was an All-Star this year, and if his shooting improves he could become a dominant player...

Hope he does not spend all the money on cheeseburgers and fries...

Yeah, you were in a tough spot.  But with Foyle, Fisher and McDyess, you had enough bad contracts that trying to pinch pennies didn't make much sense.  And at least until Biedrins develops a bit more, he is your best player.

Yeah, I figured that free agency would never be a real possibility for me...  lol
Fisher and Foyle take up 1/4 of the cap themselves.  And with 3 of my starting 5 under 24 years old, I have plenty of youth.
Good thing my owner is generous with money.  Really generous, especially since in two years I have to resign Big Ben and Dunleavy...

Hefty contract for J-Rich. Slightly too much, I think, but when that is his asking price, there's nothing you can do.

You've gotta look at team needs.  Cap room isn't coming anytime soon for the warriors.  I probably would have given him the deal, especially with all the teams with oodles of cap room this offseason.

Can't just let such a key player like that go when there's a pretty good chance someone else will sign him.

I think its a little high as well, but he did the right thing by keeping JRich around.

If he lets him walk, he looses argueably his teams best player. and then where will he be.

He dosent have the chance w/o cap room to go and replace him and he's a playoff team and probally wouldent be able to address it there,

i think its a good move, if the old league is any indication i remember JRich becoming a monster, and helping the warriors winning a championship.

Just my 2 cents
