Up.

The good:
I'm 5-3.

The bad:
I'm overachieving across the board.  If my backcourt continues to average 50 points and 14 assists, I'll eat my boxers on a public webcast (not serious)

Interesting rookies:
Shane Wedge, 19th pick, averaging 20.1 and 11.

The top scorers are, for the most part, later picks.  Shane Wedge, Zach Profit, Mike Mitchell, Mo cheeks, Freeman Williams
(most of whom are still bad defenders).

Jermaine O'neal playing like he's 24.

Rex Mehta playing like a flat out superstar.  He turned from Dan Gadzuric when he was drafted into Emeka Okafor now.

LOL @ eating the boxers...I once declared the same thing on RealGM.

Probably the most interesting stat is that the 6-0 Raptors are .5 games back in their division.

Disappointing 3-6 start but then the injury bug bit my team again.  Lost Al Jefferson after 4 games (played 6 min in game 5) and Van Exel in the middle of the 6th game.  Good news is that neither injury is long term.

After seeing who I played, I am not suprised I ended up 1-7...  Pacers(x2), Raptors, Celtics, 76ers, Hornets, Warriors and the Mavs(only win was against the Mavs)...  The teams I played have a combined record of 37-11...

Whoo!!! 2-6!!! Better then last year when we won one game per sim Cheers

Bird,Marquez,Boozer ovibusly put up their points. I think we have the worst defense in SSBA tho.

Bird for Rookie of the year... So I get back to Back of them Very Happy

+23 point differential, lol... I will have to see if I need to work Swift and Radman into the lineup, because I'm afraid my rotation might be a little too tight. But you can't argue with success.

That's what happens when in 5 games you hold your opponent to under 90 points, two of them under 70, including myself... Sad
But I am proud to say that I was able to hand you your one and only loss... Cool

Man I hope this isn't the same story as last year...Raptors start the season 6-0, the only unbeaten team after 10 days. Leading the league in scoring, and top 6 in defense, a nice combination.

A quick glance through the starting lineup tells you all you need to know...

C Robert Swift - 16ppg, 12rpg, 1.7bpg, shooting 53.2% from the floor.

Sim 1 Highlights:

3 double doubles
21 rebounds, 5 blocks aganst the Spurs
21 points on 9-14 shooting against the Lakers
28 points on 12-18 shooting against the Knicks

Pf George Boykins - 26ppg, 9rpg, 49.6% shooting, 71.4% from downtown

Sim 1 highlights:

10th in the league in PPG
39 points in 32 mins against the Cavs
Averaging 26 and 9 despite a 15 and 1 showing against the Lakers

SF Luke Jackson - 14 ppg, 7rpg, 55.6% from 3 pt land

Sim 1 Highlights:

17 and 11 on just 9 shots against the Cavs
17 and 10 on the Lakers

SG Josh Childress -17 ppg, 8 rpg, 2.7spg

Sim 1 Highlights:

Among league leaders in steals
22 points against the Pistons
19 and 13 on the Cavs
22 and 9 on the Knicks
3 double doubles

PG Max Guiterrez - 17 ppg, 12 apg, 52% 3 pt

Sim 1 Highlights:

Among top 3 in league in apg
29 and 17 on the Pistons
20 and 15 on the Knicks

Yikes!

4-4 with a bit of a dodgy depth chart.

Things are fixed and hopefully we can pick things up for next sim.

I played some pretty good teams this sim for a 5-1 record, giving the Pacers their only loss (a 22 point throttling at that), and losing my only game to the 6-1 TWolves.

Mehta averaging about 26/18/4 assists and 5 blocks was stunning, and he was player of the game in 5 of the 6 games.  Tobey's averaging 17/9 in 27 minutes, including 33% from 3.  And I was 5-1 despite Arenas shooting 39% for the sim.

Definitely encouraging.

poor 4-3 start, played 5 games at home, won 3, got demolished 2, lots of work ahead.

Hawks +9 ...always had difficulty playing them, dunno why. Hoffa opened his 3rd Blazer season with 30/17, my rookie
Williams started bad.

Heat -32....OUCH, terrible defeat at home.Only Buehler was satisfying, Williams after 1-6 FG now went 1-8, terrible start.

@Jazz -10...another bad offensive perfmornace, Bosh did great tough and Williams started to get used to NBA style of
play, 15/5 on 5/8 2/2 and 3/4 shooting.Something you must expect from a A- guy.

Lakers +9... That wasnt a tough one, and man can we jump, Hoffa 34/17, Buehler 21/15, Bosh 16/12, Williams with another
great perfomance, 15/8 on 7/8 FG and 1/2 3pt.

Sixers +2...Williams again, after disastrous 2-14 2 game start this rookie is heating up.

@Rockets +13...Hoffa dropped 45/12, Williams was great again, its a tough choice between him and Clement but for now ill
give rookie advantage.

Celtics -21...OUCH again, Williams terrible like first 2 games combined, stupid coach went in the game with 2 PGs.

LOTS OF WORK AHEAD !!

Interesting rookies:
ks, Freeman Williams

i believe he is a pretty good defender tough, if im not wrong he's B+, but as i moved him to SG before sim his defense that he gained in TC dropped so its tough to tell, but he's going back to PG and B+ now, and with SUPER tough schedule in sim 2 playing Nets, Hornets, Raps, Warriors...etc....we'll see how'll do against some top players in the league.

Celtics started the season 4-2 which isn't all too shabby but doesn't tell the whole story.

Led the Pacers (who started the season like men possessed, despite fielding the same mediocre team from last season) by 10 after the break in game 1 when starting C Sampson, my major FA aquisition to replace Booze, went down for 55 games. Just great. Forget the Allstar game, Jamaal.

Took me some games to regroup and work the Magloire/Roof tandem into the rotation but ended the sim on 4 nice wins. Still, rebounding will be a problem until sampson comes back.

Otherwise a fine entry to a long season.
