Not a whole lot of improvement from the draftees.  Most went up 1 or 2.

not bad actually

just minor improvements and declines, but my last FA signing, Alan Reed, making a comeback in beantown, improving his offense (the only bad part of his game) to "B" AND handling to "A+" is nice.

Schabinger did stay put, as expected PF Strait improved defense and rebounding to both "B+" (only inside went down) while maintaining his pot. Perfect. Sampson stayed the same, Matrix and Dirk lost some outside, but hey, they are 35 ...

overall the TC ratres a solid B !!!

Good TC for the Raptors.

A total run down:

C RObert Swift - gains an inside scoring, and loses a defense. I can handle that. Probably another 12 and 11 year coming up, which is just what I need.

C Leocadio Garcia - Can you say ouch? Ouch. Loses an inside, a defense and a rebounding. That hurts. He goes from 6th man to IL player.

PF George Boykins - Loses 1 inside, but gains 1 defense and 1 rebounding. Couldn't have asked for any better. I will gladly sacrifice a drop in scoring for more defense and boards.

PF David West - The LLE signing drops a inside. That's fine by me.

SF Luke Jackson - Loses an inside, but gains a defense. Again, that's no problem at all. Loses a potential as well, but dude is 31.

SF Roberto Dickau - Ouch, again. Loses an outside and a defense. Too bad, a little improvement and I probably could have got something decent for him. He'll still get minutes.

SG Josh Childress - No change. That's nice to see from a guy getting up there in age. Another year of 15 and 7 works for me.

SG Kyle Iba - Whooo! Gains an outside and a handling, now with B-/B-/B-/B- in/out/handle/defense. Should be a primary backup this year.

SG Xavier Doby - Cut!

PG Max Guiterezz - 2nd straight year of no change. Needs to add a couple ratings to get back up there with the Lords of the league.

PG Mike Evans - Gains a defense and a rebounding - now the primary backup behind Max.

PG Curtis Sura - Gains a outside shot...pity he won't see many minutes, but he's there if needed.


Overall I can't complain. I like where this team is headed.

mixed run for the Jazz:

Dial went +0 but improved +1 rebounding and dropped -1 handles which actually makes him better for his position.

Murray stayed the same which is great considering he had a strong year last year and is one of the most productive backups in the league IMO

Cummings improved +1 which makes him a nice pickup in the 2nd round and will most likely get some minutes as the third man out in C rotation.

Rivera was the big loss this year going -3, losing handles, defense, and outside but still keeps his B potential which is the only good thing I can take out of his camp. For his percentages to be getting worse, he might be moved to a rebounding role off the bench.

Larochelle improves +1 in rebounding which is nice, however he'll be getting very little, if any, playing time.

Walker goes -1 in rebounding, I was hoping that he'd keep his A- rebounding as it is an attribute my team needs and would improve at least +1 somewhere so I wouldn't feel as bad working him in the rotation with my depleted PF depth, but not going to happen this year. He also loses his potential.

Beardslee goes -1 outside, which hurts being he's one of my better scorers on a team that can't score too well.

Hardy stays the same and keeps his potential. Hopefully he's a guy that just takes a couple years to bloom. He will still probably start for me, but will at the very least be very reputable off of the bench.

Sly improves +1 in rebounding, but will probably not play at all.

Drew loses 1 in handles, but he's a guy that plays above his ratings...was scoring 19 a game with minutes last year and should be a very tradeable asset now that Meyers and Theus asserted their positions. I will find minutes for him as long as he's with my squad. This is positive in that it helps delineate my DC at the 2 and 3.

Meyers goes +1 in shooting making him the best shooter in the game. If i could just get him to take more shots. He goes -1 in rebounding which is not a big loss on my part, but I was hoping he'd move to a B on defense. With Hardy and Theus, despite Drews drop, I will still have some problems figuring out a proper DC.

Theus was the best thing about camp for me going +2 overall and especially impnroving to B+ in defense, something I was very worried about with my less than steller perimeter defenders. He'll probably start as Meyers is just as good off the bench as he is starting.

Shabinger goes +1 in rebounding, nothing too exciting but he's a very nice rounded PG that will do everything for me while on the floor

Gresham, the 2nd best thing of this draft moving +2 in defense, a much needed attribute formerly being a C defender, He also improves +1 outside. He will probably start being that he scores more than Shabinger, and shoots great percentages, and he did well for me with C defense.

Lastly, Schenk goes -1 in rebounding, probably won't see any playing time just because i desperately need scoring, but his A- defense is great in case an injury comes up and he becomes a very tradeable asset as well as his small contract could be added to practically any deal. I'd love having him at 3rd PG, but won't see any PT as I'll probably have Theus or Meyers in that position.

two nonplayers go +1 each so even though I went +2 at a team, i stay pretty neutral overall, but at least now i know where my needs are and I'm still very young.

Jon Beardslee:  +1 Defense...  Still has "B" potential and should see some minutes as a rookie...

Tracy McGrady:  -1 Inside...  Shouldn't hurt him at all...
Tayshaun Prince:  -1 Defense, -1 Rebounding...  Still a very good MLE signing...
Marty Byrnes:  -1 Defense...  Will definately sit his rookie year on the bench...
Charles Phelps:  +1 Inside, +1 Handles, +1 Rebounding...  I wish that defense would have improved...  I still gotta find this guy some good minutes though...

Alvin Schenk:  +1 Handles, -1 Defense...  Would have rather seen him go unchanged...
James Fisher:  +1 Inside, +1 Outside, +1 Defense...  Also kept his "A" potential...  Hopefully he turns into a decent back-up...

+2 Overall...  1 or 2 more deals and this team might be able to make some short-lived noise...

One in outside, 4 in defense, and one in rebounding...  And he kept his A potential.

Jim Finley now has a C+ inside, for the first time in his career. 
Daniel Holt lost an inside, but gained an outside and a defense.
Jackson Finley gained an outside and a handle...

My team need a big man coach.   Non of bigs did anything. Pretty much have the same team as last year.  Melo, Bron and Harris will scoring all the points.  Still searching for Dennis Rodman.

A very solid training camp for the Cavs all-around.

- Adams up in defense and down in rebounding. I like that.
- Lundy and Robey both stay the same. They both kept their B potential, though.
- Sweetney down in rebounding. Eh.
- Both Humphries and Manning improve nicely. Hump up in inside and handles, Manning up in rebounding and handles. They're similar players, too, so it's gonna be tough.
- Palacio down in outside shooting. His scoring will likely take a dip.
- Sylvester down in handles and rebounding but up in defense. That's alright.
- Michael Robinson! He's already a stud, improving in 3 categories. His ratings now show C+ A- A- A-, easily the best player of this rookie class. Also the best player on my team.
- O'neil looks like he's trying to prove himself his sophomore year, going up in inside, outside, and defense. Very, very nice.
- Fisher improves in defense but goes down in outside. Not bad.

With 2 players having +3 and another 2 with +2, it was indeed a successful TC for the young Cavs. This next season looks promising.

Nice pick-up, I'm hoping that Theus will be a great player too, he still kept his A potential which is a great sign. It's hard to tell who the best players will be in the class til bout the 3rd year mark when potential plays out and we get an idea what these players are actually going to produce for their careers.

There are several great rookies but I think right now it looks like Robinson is the head of the pack. He should be able to put up at least 20/5/5 this season.

When I heard that there is a training camp today, Michael Robinson is the first guy who I want to see. And damn! He's such a beast..

Anyway, Im really really happy that I FINALLY.. F - I - N - A - L - L- Y, had a great training camp. Although Tyler and Bolinger didn't improve. Everyone, the 7 guys, did improved a lot, from trevor wells to fuqua. THe timing is just so right, because this is the year I F I N A L L Y decide to compete.

Can't wait for the 1st sim and kick Heat and Magic's ass. All at one feet. hahaha
