Guys, holy shit.
You realize you are all talking about a SG who can't score and can't defend up to standard right now?
B-/C+ offense is gonna net you what? 6ppg? B- defense isn't going to slow anyone down.
B- handling is nice for a SG, but it's not amazing. When you already have a SF with B- handles, a SG with B handles and another SG with B- handles, it's kinda overkill.
And oh, yeah, this is the team that has a ton of trouble SCORING. A B-/C+ SG isn't gonna help that...especially since he plays the same position as your leading scorer!
Jazz, I love the pick, I have no doubts you made the right one. But there is a reason Theus got passed up 13 times. He's not quite the player everyone seems to be making him out to be.
I agree that people are overstating him...however, he is the best sg ratings wise...and his talent may have been shadowed by the overwhelming talent ahead of him and the fact that many teams might not have been looking for a SG early,i don't know if anyone checked out his true potential but hey as long as he improves any i'm okay. For awhile I had Freeman Williams ranked before him, but realized that he could just become another Drews or Meyers. At 14th and already having two picks, it was wroth taking a risk that could turn out to be a big steal when I already addressed what i felt were my two needs. Plus at 6'6", although lanky, he could play SF (which is nice in case Hardy is a bust)..and if his handles play out...maybe even PG. Besides Meyers can play point and open up theus for more minutes and I don't plan on keeping Drews past his contract which gives Theus the time he needs to develop above the B-/C+ offense and B- def that you criticized .
As for the leading scorer problem, i'm hoping TC takes care of that a little, but that's something that'll have to improve...if anything i have a pretty rounded team...shooting, rebounding, defense...and i'm hoping although i don't have an A-/A handles guy, that my team will at least share the ball well and shoot high percentages.
Even though i'm "rebuilding" i still had a playoff-capable team this year, and added some very nice pieces to that same team with a lot of nice potential to improve.
