Bailey Tobey and Rex Mehta will likely soon be the top C/PF combo in the league....

Sweet. I get the number one player on my board.., After finding out his true potential and his skills right now, I am very pleased Very Happy.

I dont like the Juluis Ervin Pick. Altho they have a PF, They could have drafted Thompson and moved One of them to center. Then get George Johnson and thats a steller draft.

The reason why I drafted Erving was after I did what you're about to do, discovering their potential.

Anyway, I drafted both Erving and George Johnson based on BPA, not based on my team needs. Based on my calculation, Johnson is the best player after Bailey and Bird. But I drafted Erving based on his potential. And I was afraid that the Lakers might take him because of his scoring abilities. So I drafted him first.

Johnson on the other hand is a very good all around scorer (b- inside b- outside) he also is a good defender with B+ defense and A potential rating. He has what you need in a SF.

Im excited on the talent my team possess after the draft. Im still looking for a "star" to "superstar" type of player and I hope I have enough talent to trade.

And most of all, Im also excited to see how all-star weekend would look like having Bird joining the 3pt contest and Erving joining the Slam Dunk contest. Very Happy

Great draft guys! Its really worth the wait!  Cheers

If these players perform like their ratings suggest, we might as well throw everyone drafted in the last 5 (FBCB) seasons overboard. There are maybe 5 (FIVE !!!) guys among the 276 players drafted who will top the best 10 players in this draft class after they finished their rookie seasons.

Now talk about a balance-shifting draft ...

oh quit 'yer complaining.  This is the equivalent of the 2003 NBA draft (LeBron, Carmelo, Wade, Bosh, Hinrich, Diaw).  Yes, it will shift the balance of power.  BUT YOU'RE THE ONE SAYING IT NEEDED TO BE, and that only teams with real-players (or first draft players) had true franchise players.  Not all drafts will be this top heavy.

Anyway, I agree about Julius being a littel high.  But I thought Johnson was possibly the steal of the draft.  Had you swapped Erving for Johnson, then I think it would have been just about right.

odd that the sixers would take two players of the same position...i guess Erving can play 2 though...at the same time though he has some incredible talent now to play with so it's more of a comment and not really a criticism .

However, on a critical note, I felt that the Lakers selection of Phil ford was a poor pick with Mike Evans and Maurice Cheeks available...not to mention they now have 4 PG's. Unless Ford is an Allen Iverson type at 2. I feel they missed out a little with Newton being reputable at the point and Jefferson getting old. I could see why they would take another position other than SF with the bulk of the talent gone, but why not take a Michael Robinson or a Freeman Williams?

Lastly, with the hawks planning to take Thompson, it's hard to say where everyone else will go...

I wouldn't be that worried about height at the two.  If they re-sign vito, then I think Ford could be a very, very good pg.  If his potential is right he could be beastly, at either position.  I do agree that I would have gone with Johnson first though.  Johnson could be an absolute beast.  Siegel, Laporte, Johnson, Ramsey would have been an incredible potential lineup.

Well I got my guy, although there is another player I like who probably won't fall to me at 17.
