Would it be possible to sim like 20-30 days as preseason sim(s)?

That's the only time you can experiment with your lineup without any consequences (and for example find out if those 2nd rounders can play who otherwise woin't see a second in the season).

I doubt it.  Not this year.

I just don't have the time to really do an "extra" sim where all the DC's will be changed drastically fo two sims.

Next year?  Maybe.  Probably.  It has its uses, although I think the uses are minimal, it still has its uses.  I'll probably do it next year.  I just don't have time this year, not with the last two weeks of college coming up.

It's a good idea for next year. I like it because it gives time to see how positional changes affect players' ratings after TC, but before the actual season starts.
