Grizzlies accept this deal. I'm expecting Carter to decline more than mihm this tc. I don't really need carter much anymore and Mihm may be able to block some shots which I really do need. I gain a 1rst rounder and also enough cap space so i'm not over 110 million. So I do not lose my first round pick either.

Here goes a former top SG, averaging 10ppg on his freefall from servicability for a big man who can still play.
That alone would be bad.

It's getting better as 2 future draft picks from a team reaching the conf finals last season (translation: they are good) are exchanged for a likely lottery pick this season.
This makes it worse.

And a couple of fillers are used. Are these big or at least long contracts?
no, an expiring and a 2nd rounder

Is at least the younger and better big man a contract you had to get rid of?
no, he's expiring as well.

 Shocked ?????????????????????????????  Shocked

some things simply make no sense.

I obviosly feel I made out better in this trade otherwise i would not have done it. But Carter got 10 ppg in 20 minutes which is pretty damn good. He far from useless.

hey, most of the trade is good.
Mihm for Carter and one of the picks is just about fair. You get Mihm for another run in the West (that is anybody's to take now after Warriors and Kings fell apart) and he gets a pick.

But THIS ??? A lottery 1st in the best draft we will have had in 5 seasons ? Thats bullshit ...

pretty simple the east is strong and you traded half your team for backups
i am pretty sure both picks will be lotto.

Half my team???  I didn't trade a single starter...  Havlicek was backing up Schenk last season...  My SL was Schenk, Summitt, Kent, Rivera, Schmaltz(and there average age is like 26-27)...  Baylor hardly saw any minutes with my team, Mihm was my declining Back-up PF(Kent will be there now), Morrison sat on the IR, Shields and Dorsey were 2nd rounders that I didn't need, and Havlicek never fit in...   Now I have a SF rotation of Carter, Jefferson and Hayes...  A defensive Back-Up SG in Jeanette, and a Defensive Back-Up PG in Terry...

hey, calm down.

As i said earlier, the basic deals are not bad. VC, Terry, Jeannette can play (Jefferson can't as far as we know), but Mihm could do and he will do it longer (and better) than VC.

And why is the pick lottery?
Easy. You missed the playoffs last season and all teams ahead of you got better. And you play the same starters and only exchanged some backups.

uh huh.

the deal is only questionably good now. VC is 35. Who knows if he'll retire after this year. You also give up most of the core on another deal :S

sorry. I think Grizzlies gets the better end of this.

you pick could go late to early mid 1st round this year. and the 2017 pick has a real good chance to make the lottery.

Easy. You missed the playoffs last season and all teams ahead of you got better. And you play the same starters and only exchanged some backups.

I guess we'll see when the seaon is over, but here is a little quote from my trade with the Hawks last year:

That hurts, that truly hurts.

An allstar PG going for a 34yr old washed-up veteran and a low future draft pick (how low? The average age of the Pistons starters is 25.5 and they were playoff-bound WITHOUT Hav)

So that means my 2016 pick will be 15-20, and my 2015 & 2017 picks will be lotto...  You said yourself I was play-off bound without Hav, and he is the only good player I traded...  You are really confusing...
