This is a deal seperated in two parts (to follow rules)

Part 1:
Sonics trade PG Nat van Exel
Celtics trade PG Chauncey Billups

Part 2 (waiting till day 31):
Sonics trade PF Ronny Roof
Celtics trade SG James Heuer
the waiting period is necessary since Roof gets back to a team he was traded from.
I will thus post this deal as seperate topic too: http://www.phillyarena.net/forum/index.php?topic=4558

Celtics agree.

Celtics agree.

Sonics agree.  Trading defense for offense ... Billups fits in with this team much better than NVE.

I gotta give billups credit.  He's been productive very long into his 30's.  when I traded him I didn't expect he had this much left in the tank.

hey, he's good. He carried me all the way into the playoffs for the first time and despite not starting anymore he kept me there ever since.

Plus he's still better than NVE ... but he's also 36 and maybe a young expiring is a better trade bait.

Goodbye Chauncey, you will be missed here. Just a great player.
Thanks for what you did for the Celtics ... lead us to respectability !!!
 Hail Hail Hail

and have fun with the kiddy corpse now. Guess you will earn your retirement ...
 Cheers
