Well after the top two guys on my board go 1-2 this sim, I didn't have much left to cheer for.

Overall I went with two guys who can't do anything right now, but hey, everyone else with a first round pick outside of the top 3 did the same.

If Doby's potential can pan out, I've got myself a guy who can score of the bench. Never gonna be on the all-defense team.

just great.

after each and every sim in the last 2 weeks or so had been done in the following morning or even a day later, THIS is the first sim done in time. Of course this is also the first sim I had something to submit for. And of course now I'm too late.

that is the reason why you should trust the calender. You know that is the earliest time the draft will be done. It can be later but you shouldn´t count on it  Eek3!  Smile

- Look, I spent hours and hours and hours analyzing the FBCB draft pages (at my latest count up to 20 in total)
- I let EVERYBODY know I did it by being the only one to get a draft preview up (http://www.phillyarena.net/forum/index.php?topic=4493.0)
- I expressed how excited I was my guys were still on the board after pick #20 (http://www.phillyarena.net/forum/index.php?topic=4513.0)
- So the chances of me targeting some players with my ONLY pick at #25 were about 100%

Now you tell me it REALLY would have mattered to wait with #21-29 until I get my draft list in this morning, especially after not simming by schedule all the time (or at least send a short PM since I was one of the few here caring for the draft) ???
 Confused

Yup, I'm disappointed, such a proceeding suddenly following the schedule renders a lot of work I did in (and a bit FOR) this league useless ...

Wah Wah Wah.
You posted yesterday in the draft discussion that you were so happy that you were going to get your guy.  All you had to do was click on my name and send it in as a PM.  Why you would wait until the last second I have no idea.

My care broke down and I have to take a train.  Which means to get to work by 9 am I have to leave at 6:30 am.  Simming in the morning wasn't a possibility.  I 'apologize' for simming on time and not giving you clear warning I was going to do so.  Next time I will consult you before ever doing such a crazy thing to make sure it fits your schedule.

forget it, it's all my fault. I won't critizise how you run this league

btw, as you were wondering: the reasons i didn't submit a draft list immediately were that (1) yesterdays picks didn't become available until late last afternoon (my time) and I (2) still tried to trade up afterwards to get my top priority. But having a family now demanding a lot of attention at the craziest hours I can't spend whole nights anymore, so I was hoping to know this morning if my trading up was possible and over all that I missed that we actually do have a schedule

But you posted on this board, saying how excited you were with how 11-20 went.  Obviously you had been on this board and seen the days postings.  So what it really comes down to was "I was trying to trade up, and thought I could fit it in after the deadline".

What you should have done was submit your draft sheet, then sent an update if you did move up.  I'm not trying to say you don't have priorities, but I can't base my schedule around there, and relying on the sim to be run late probably isn't the best strategy.

It's just a situation that could have been avoided with some sure instinct, but let's leave it at that, i have no intention of getting a heavy fine on top for arguing with the league office.

But on a positive note, this must be one of the better CPU picks ever
(not quite the DJSL Hornets getting Greg Oden, the best draft prospect of this decade, with a cpu #1 pick, but still)

James Heuer can score (18ppg on 45%), rebound (6.5 rpg as SG !), defend (A perimeter), steal (nearly 2 spg) but done it in a small conference. Lets see how this translates to the big boys.

Do I have the added salary of my last 2nd round pick, because my roster will be full then, even though I had the pick before the draft. I'm guessing I don't have to send the sheet of the pick in anyway. I want that full off-season attendance bonus... Smile
