Really, it's the motherboard that's DOA.  Unfortunately, replacing the motherboard is essentially stripping it down, taking everything off, then putting it all back together.  This is probably a 2 hour process, but the thing is you can't just stop halfway through, and leave computer parts lying across the kitchen as your cat plays with it for the next day.  So I just need to find 2-3 hours that I can spend working on it consecutively, and I just haven't had the time yet.  Especially with an exam coming up on tuesday.

Haha, I hate cats.

I've got exams this week to, so I understand your time restraints. No rush.

That's pretty cool actually...

I don't really hate cats, but I'm allergic to them, so it pisses me off to be around them. I have negative associations. That didn't keep my family from owning cats though.  Mad

I don't hate cats, but I'm definitely more of a dog person.  Unfortunately it's not fair to have a dog in a 1 bedroom apartment, so a cat was my concession.

Yeah, back when I lived out in the suburbs, we used to have cats that would show up with birds/mice on our porch all the time.  They even learned how to shimmy up the side of the door and ring the doorbell to get us to let them in.  Which got rather annoying at 3 am.
