It's a 3-team trade because PG McGee is traded along

deal 1:
Celtics trade
SG Michael Redd

Nuggets trade
SG Cameron Stockton
PG James McGee

deal 2:
Celtics trade
PG James McGee
SG Manu Ginobili
Nuggets 2014 1st

Suns trade
PF Emmanuel Griffin

Celtics accept both trades.
Now let's hope Suns can accept in time for the deadline  Hail

Why did The Celtics do it?
I believe Griffin will bring more to my team than anything i could get in the draft, even if it's the top pick. Maybe I underestimate the draft but looking at the College ratings (and especially college pot) I don't share the mutual excitement around here.
Losing Redd might hurt in the long run since he's unbelievable (averaging 24ppg early in the season), but after aquiring SJax i felt this was a risk i could take (still having Schabinger and Tower - who's on the verge of something special too). Griffin on the other hand will make my team even deeper up front. Not sure if he even will start - as a fellow GM put it, he's not great at anything but good at almost everything - he sure will be some nice asset from the bench.
Guess I'm ready for the stretch run ...

man you are incredible first you trade redd who spent also many times on the IL for a SG who could be nice for the future and then trade your first for griff who will help at your weakest position at PF. After the redd trade the nuggets will improve enough to make this pick not a top 5 pick. Still i don´t get the reason why the nuggets trade youth for old?

The Nuggets traded a 29yr old who never lived up to his ratings (i remember the hours and hours of trade talks with the Suns a few seasons ago where i almost got him for the immortal Shawn Geiger, but if i remember correctly then his one single 34pt game killed the deal) for a 32yr old who is darn good. He averaged 21.5 ppg over the first 3 sims and played solid defense too.
So they traded (slightly older) production for a career backup. Not bad ...

Michael Redd can score, and i gave away garbage(McGee) and Stockton, with whom i'm not impressed.
Yeah, mine(Sonics) pick can go lower after this, but what the hell.I doubt Celtics traded me Redd to mess my Draft situation.
