Bye, Calvin, and thanks for the leadership - as well as big-time game experience (like 2 championships as starting C) - you provided. You will truly be missed.

So appologize that I did not give you the deserved retirement in a Celtics uniform, but I think you deserve another chance at a title, and with TD and TMac you got it. For me, this pick could be worth something if the Kings fall apart next year with their prime players in the late 40ies already.

So again, THANKS and good luck for #3 ...

Geez..I hope you're right. But, despite age and no starting C and backup whatsoever my team is performing well. Obviously, rebounding and shotblocking issues needed to be solved and Booth gives me just that. I think i could join the elite group again with Booth.

Absolutely. I gave you probably high lotto pick bext year since Duncan will probably retire and Bibby or Tinsley can only decline even more. That's a definitely lotto if you ask me.

Well, i'm happy overall. Finally got a great quality C that could push me to the higher level. I just hope everyone stays healthy, i think i can still do some damage.

Wow, what a great deal for the Celtics.

I don't believe there is any way Booth is worth a first.

I don't necessarily agree.

There's the thing called "team needs" and when your starting C is 35, the starting PF 36, the backcourt is 32 and 33, the key backups are 33, 34, 34 and 36 it's save to call that "final run".

And 35-yr old Booth is EXACTLY what this team helps most to get one more deep playoff run. How much noise these All-stars can make there depends on many factors (mostly health), but the players are now in place.

And believe me, I will miss the 2 blocks from the bench more than you think. But since I'll hardly win a title this season I decided to look at the future ...

Booth is good, real good. His age is another story, but given time, he's 10/10/3 player.

I like this trade for both teams, but especially for the Kings.
I think Booth was as much a part of the Jazz championship as anyone on that team. The years may have slowed him down a little, but this clearly will make the Kings a better team.

sorry bad trade. you shouldn´t believe Tom´s hype machine. There is a reason why booth isn´t starting for the celtics. He can´t play 30+ mins anymore and even with the great booth his team is allowing near 100pts.
I agree booth has still some games left but a pot lotto come on.

i think the the pick would not be a lotto pick... since next season TD is only 36...they got drobnjak who is 36 and wouldnt retire  Laughing but even if TD would retire... TMAC will not allow the team to go lottery especially when there is not pick available to tank...  Very Happy however i think the kings can get booth at a cheaper cost... or can a better center than booth with his first rounder IMO  Very Happy

Booth was that key role player who tied together my team, he never really jumped out in the box score, but he did his job by playing solid defense every night and not demanding the ball. I would like to add that I'm not sure how I would have done without Daniels despite Booth's presence...but I still feel that trading Booth was better for the long term of my team, but it'd been nice to get that good of a deal for him at this point in his career.
