Spurs agree Raptors agree. This trade needs to wait until day 41 as Duncan and Kim were signed then.

Why for the Raps?
Hard to say. Don't really need Gasol's scoring anymore with the top 2 scorers clearly defined and the other player's abilities to step up -Swift and Chills can both drop 20 on a given night.
The pick is looking good, really good. Even though it's 2 years away, the Spurs don't have much to build on. I think that's a top 5 pick.

Well, after tonight's sim Wait...are you saying that you now want this deal to wait until day 51 to be processed? I posted this immediately because I thought it would be processed tonight. You never gave any indication that you wanted to wait.

Oh, so this can go through now? I guess I forgot that it is currently day 41 and not day 40.
Yes, I am fine with this going through now.

wow, the Spurs do a flip-flop on their team again and go from the young starters Johnny-Kim and "vet" JRich to real vets Magloire-Gasol and Del Negro-Ellis, who underachieved some so far.
I like those moves, as the young guys alone took them nowhere really.
Now the Raptors have that "problem", ´but giving up to backups for young big men can't be completely wrong. One or two among Swift-Garcia-Kim and Johnny will hopefully improve, but for now their backcourt will have to carry them even more ...

Looking at the Warriors as a template for success, I decided I could go for the 2 double-double threats up front, with the much stronger backcourt.
This trade banks completely in the 2016 first.

Duncan-Hoiberg-Kim was a young group of big men that all hover around 12/9. However they couldn't stop a cripple from running past them for a layup. Hopefully Gasol/Magloire will shore up my interior defense.
Ellis basically replaces Parker...a little less handles but a little more defense. But as a backup to Uner & Snyder at the guard positions he will fit in nicely. JDN will compete with Pietrus for the starting SF spot.
Hopefully with my heavy early schedule I still have enough games left to make a push for the playoffs.
