10-3 to start the season, nothing to get mad about there. Offense is excelling with Max leading the league in assists per game with 10.5. Carmelo is also leading the league in points per game with 35.1. As well, Carmelo is shooting 55.7% from beyond, good for 3rd in the league. Thrilled with the great start from this young team.

Raptors 107 Lakers 84 -- Starting off the year with a blowout, what every team wants to see. Andris Biedrins explodes on me for 25 before fouling out in 19 minutes. However, Carmelo drops 35 on 14-26 shooting to counter. As well, Max gets 16 and 8 on 6-11 shooting. Pau Gasol plays just 22 minutes, scoring 14 on 6-7 shooting. Pau's lack of minutes gets Dickau 22, and he doesn't disapoint, dropping 14, 7 and 4. Can't believe I don't get any trade offers for him. Childress added 10 points and 15 rebounds. As a team, shot 48.3% from the floor, 6-13 from beyond.

Raptors 95 Pistons 94 -- Decent road win. Allowed the Pistons to shoot 53% from the floor which is less then neccesarry, but a win is a win. Melo dropped 38 on 16-33 shooting, as well as grabbing 8 boards. Gasol had an effecient 16 points on 8-12 shooting. Max had 11 and 11 for a good dub-dub. Also, Childress had 14 rebounds continuing his amazing trend of grabbing so many rebounds. Team shot 47% from the floor.

Kings 130 Raptors 83 -- Ouch. A complete blowout. Kings shot 54.7% from the floor, with Tmac getting 39, 8 and 7. Melo countered with 37 and 8, but his support cast couldn't get it done, as the team shoots 31.9% despite Melo going 15-27. Max goes 0-7 and scores on 5 points off free throws. Gasol gets 12, 11 and 4 blocks and shuts down Duncan, for the lone bright spot. Just a brutal overall loss.

Raptors 84 Knicks 83 -- The Battle of Willison Hall Residence begins, with the Raps taking round 1. Both teams play great defense, and there were a total of 119 rebounds in the game, with the Knicks getting 60 and the Raps getting 59. Melo gets his, with 25 and 8. Swift has a great game with 19 points and 13 rebounds, helping Stocker to a 4-18 night. Max scores 18 against Sura, but gets only 3 assists. Gasol was the player of the game, with 11 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Despite shooting just 1-11, Chills grabs 12 rebounds. Former Rap Bob Diddle drops 13 to lead the Knicks in  a balanced effort. Take that, Pidge.

Magic 131 Raps 126 -- Damn, a huge offensive output from both teams, would have liked to win this one. The game headed to OT, but the Magic took it. The battle between Brice and Melo is everything it was cracked up to be, as Brice scores 37 along with 9 assists and 6 rebounds. He was countered by Melo's 44 points and 11 rebounds. However, the battle of 2nd scorers wasn't even a contest with D Howard dropping 37 and 17 on Gasol, countered by Max's 20 points and 13 assists. Gasol got 16, 14 and 7 assists of his own in 52 minutes. Raps shot 55.3% countered by the Magic's 48.5%, but the Magic made 11 more free throws. What a game, one of the classics in SSBA history.

Raptors 100 Bulls 72 -- Ouch, Singh, your team stinks. Melo's 31, 7 and 5 is too much for the weak Bulls. Dickau adds 17 off the bench to be the 2nd leading scorer. Max scores 13 and 8, and Swift adds 12 and 14. For the Bulls, Amare leads the way with 26 and 13, but no one else steps up as the Bulls shoot just 39.2% from the floor.

Sixers 109 Raptors 104 -- Last loss of this sim. Can't handle the 2 headed monster of Wells and Tyler, as they combine for 48 points and 21 rebounds. Melo gets 30, and Max has his best offensive game with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Swift and Garcia both had double doubles, with Swift getting 18 and 11 and Garcia getting 12 and 12. However, team shot just 44.4% to the Sixers' 47.8%. Shot just 5-16 from beyond.

Raptors 129 Sonics 109 -- Spurring the 6 game winning streak was this offensive outbrust from the boys. Shot 55.9% from the floor in the win. Melo had his second 40 pt game, with 40 and 6 on 17-29 shooting. Gasol added 24 and 12. Chills had a rare offensive outburst with 23 points on 9-15 shooting. Max added 19 points and 14 assists to earn player of the game honours. Swift had one of his best games to date, scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 blocks on 4-6 shooting. Great game by the big man.

Raptors 115 Hawks 89 -- Good defense, holding the Hawks to 38% from the floor, while shooting 50% as a team. Melo went for 39 and 7 off 13-19 shooting to lead the way. Gasol added 19 and 9. Swift added 13, 12 and 5. He has certainly emerged as an above-average starter. Max added 9 points and his second straight 14 assist game.

Raptors 116 Celtics 107 -- Kicking Tom's ass always feels good. Melo dropped 41 and 9 on Lenard, while holding him to 9-25 from the floor. Swift added 21 points, 12 rebounds, schooling Nolan Johnson. Chills added 20, but Redd dropped 33 on him. Max had 13 points, and once again, 14 assists. Shot 8-13 from beyond, which gets it done any night. Difference was that we made 13 more free throws than the beantown boys, with Melo going 11-11 from the line.

Raptors 120 Cavs 93 -- Melo went down 20 mins into the game, so Gasol stepped it up and scored 26 points on only 11 shots. Dickau also had 26 points, shooting 11-16 from the floor. Again, if anyone actually takes the time to read all of this, Dickau is available. Max had a fantastic game, adding 22 points, 15 assists and 8 rebounds. Swift had another great offensive game getting 20 points and 11 rebounds. Shot 53.5% from the floor while holding the Cavs to 45.2%.

Raptors 125 Grizz 103 -- Grizz had 3 players over 21 points, but we were able to shut down everyone else in the lopsided victory. Melo was back with a vengance, scoring 40 points on 16-25 shooting. Gasol added 26 and 15 in his best game of the year to date. Swift added 15 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks. Max had 13 points and an astonishing 17 assists. He has played fantastic as a first option. Again shot over 50% from the floor, at 53.3%, while holding the Grizz to 43%.

Raptors 106 Cavs 97 -- Again Melo went off, scoring 44 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Gasol added 18 and 12. Max had 13 and 9 in just 30 minutes. Shot just 46.9% compared to the 50% shot by the Cavs, but continued my unbeaten record while holding opponents to under 100 points.

Oh what a fine start into the season it was for the Celtics Pride.

6-2 with 2 tough road losses and a 5-0 home record, including nice ones against the Nets and Heat (hey hey hey).

Booth in the top10 shot blockers coming from the bench (and Thomas close behind). New PG Reed with an astonishing ass/TO ratio of 8.0 to 1.4 (which is 2nd in the league to Max). Too bad he can't shoot straight.

Overall, i've had much worse season starts, so you'll see a lot of happy faces in Beantown right now ...

Wow...  Pistons actually 4-4...  I have a few adjustments to make, but overall I am happy with the way this young team is playing...  some key points:

Ken Rivera - I am glad I didn't let him go(not that I had a good offer)...  He is looking like the next Ben Wallace...  Averaging 12.5 Rebounds and 3.6 Blocks in only 29 minutes...  He even shoots like Ben, 33% FG and 38% FT...

Hunter Summitt - Doing exactly what I wanted him for, Scoring with good percentages...  17 ppg on 49.5% FG and 40% 3pt...

Also, Schenk and Curry played great and Baylor's gotta pick it up...
