Hey guys.

Not just for the Snowboarders among us, but for everyone. Have you ever, EVER seen something ridiculous like this:
Jacobellis

I mean thats must be maybe the worst showboat move in sports history EVER !!!

To use a basketball equivalent, take this: Game 7 of the NBA finals, your team is behind by 1 and with 5 seconds left in the 4th quarter you steal the ball, streak to the opponents basket all by youself, and instead of laying it up for the win and title you try a tomahawk-windmill-through the legs dunk ... and miss it.

GAME OVER.  Shocked

Oh, i forgot it's snowboarding, which is more about style than results. She might become the hero of a generation for never forgetting 'bout the fun element. And it's not THAT bad, in only 4 YEARS she'll have another chance at an Olympic title anyway ...

And here's the video:
http://www.nbcolympics.com/athletes/5058592/detail.html?qs=;t=19;tab=Video
(can only be viewed when your in the US, but i'm sure you can get it from local sources in every country, just google "Jacobellis, bordercross, olympic, video")

check in the bottom "Jacobellis crashes, gives up gold"

And for those unable to view it, here's the story:
Jacobillis, the odds-on fav to win the Boardercross title at the Olympic games, leads the final run by about 10 seconds (which is like a 30pt lead in the NBA). On the next-to-last jump, about 80 yards from the finish line she tries a showboat move during the jump, fails and falls down, and while recovering and trying to reach the finish line, her opponent, stunned herself, drives past her and wins the gold medal by a few seconds.

You have to see it to believe it ...

I had seen that. Yeah, that was funny (if you are not friends or family of her of course).

But recently I saw this Top 10 Premature Celebrations on ESPN. That was crazy. I will see if I can find it on the internet.
