Wow.
I was invloved in the Kmart sweepstakes with Vince and Bosh for Kmart and Melo, but I backed out.
I think this trade addresses alot of needs for the Cavs.
I just hope for the Nuggetts sake that he is able to resign Ray Ray.
Nuggs- you need to contact me about that other trade we were talking about that involved Russell.

I love KMart in this sim, so I think the Cavs probably got a good deal. Had the Cavs thrown in their first rounder I think this would have been about even.

I cant see what the nuggets motivation for this is. Anthony is ok, but he aint gonna get any better. Ray Allen has a chance to play nearly Vince-Carter level. Gooden can replace KMart. It was a good enough first trade for Denver.

I agree.
If you look at it, Dion Glover is almost the same ratings-wise as Carmelo. This allows me to move Glover to SF and insert Ray Allen to provide a much-needed outside threat. So what it boils down to is this: Ray Allen is an improvement over Anthony, and the difference between Allen/Glover and Carmelo/Glover is the reason this trade was made.
I also get a PF back with B potential to replace Kenyon. I have the depth upfront to be able to absorb the loss of KMart; it's the outside presence that I was missing, and I believe I addressed that with this deal.
I don't know if I'll be able to keep Allen, but I should be able to at least pick up a marquee FA if I can't. And if that fails, I can always be a salary-dump for teams looking to move big contracts. As it was, I really had no flexibility; I was under the cap, but not enough to be able to sign any big names. Now, I either get to keep Allen or get somebody else.
Any feedback on this would be appreciated, either here or through PM, since this is my first deal, and I'd like to get some info so that I could learn for the future.

It depends somewhat on who improves more, Gooden or Melo. Either could develop into a star, or fizzle into nothing.

I think this was a pretty good deal for Denver. They get a solid replacement for Martin in Gooden, and an all-star caliber SG. As for my side of the deal, I get a top notch PF in Martin, who has B potential as well. Melo isn't so great(only C potential?), but he is still is a solid player to have at SF. I also shed a few million in salary for this coming off-season. Now I will definitely have enough space under the cap to sign a max FA.

I don't think either develop into a star, most likely stay about where they are. so he's trading to fill his need, which I don't think is bad. I just think you could have gotten a *tinsy* bit more, because of how good kmart is.

I learned my lesson before. Last time I spoke before both accepted was on the kings/raptors rape. I won't comment one way or another before both have accepted to influence them. (Even though I should have protested that one).

Yes, lucky for you, Nuggetts agreed.
Funny how the Nets work, isn't it. He trys to talk the Kings out of the deal we did, because I was raping the Kings.
But then he never tries to talk me out of getting raped by the Mavs...
Haha, no, I'm just kidding.
