Play 9 games before the trade deadline, and a major lineup change for the Raptors, as Micah Hunter steps into the starting SG role. With his B+/B- defense, he should be able to score some serious points, and I think this is the best time to insert him into the lineup. Looking at the SG's he'll be up against:
vs. Spurs - Kirk Snyder - decent defender, but not a real good scorer, so Hunter's C defense shouldn't be exposed all that much.
@ Clippers - Ben Gordon - no hope in hell of winning this game anyway. If this game was at in Toronto, I might not start Micah, but oh well. Gordon will probably have his way with Hunter.
vs. Blazers - Bertram Shultz - Will be interesting...don't think Shultz will get more than 25, and Hunter should be able to get some good points, so I should still be able to win this one.
@ Hawks - Charles Phelps - Much like Snyder, not a great scorer, and therefore Hunter shouldn't be too exposed. On the flip side, Phelps is also a C defender, so Hunter could have a huge game.
vs. Pistons - Allen Iverson - Iverson is getting old, and I can't see him putting up huge numbers. Plus, Hunter will have 5 inches on him.
@ Knicks - Trevor Wells - Hell I can't beat the Knicks anyway, so what the hell? Wells could have a huge game against Hunter, but it's only 1 game.
Wolves @ Raptors - Gatling - Again, that's a tough mismatch, but Chills isn;t gonna hold contain Gatling either, so might as well put in the offense.
2 aganst Magic - Ernest Profit - A B- defender, if Hunter is a good permiter defender, then I should be able to win this matchup.
