In other news, Mcgrady was just sick, scoring 36ppg. 38 and 47pts against Lebron, 44 against the Rockets and 36 and 10asists against the Suns.

.

Sounds like an average sim for Dirk Wink

Would this be your first "title" in sim leagues then?

no way that danny has a chance with all the starts and by the way boozer is my 6th man  Wink

horrible sim:

went 3-3
PACERS 102 Wolves 84
pretty easy win; marion with 22/9 and artest continues his great season with 20; miller 15/10/5 and boozer of the bench 13/13/3
Pacers 103 MAGIC 105
i had 20 shots more but was also outrebound by 16..
only rocky and boozer showed some game rocky with 23/9 and 6 stls and boozer of the bench with 15/15/3 and 2blks
PACERS 114 Hawks 69
nice to blow out some teams Wink Marion with 38/12;JO with 26/10 and Artest with 23/4/5 it is funny to watch this team with all three stars clicking.
Pacers 74 HORNETS 89
here we go again another hard loss; JO played 15mins  Shocked Miller blocked 7 shots from Yao  Question again i had 20 shots more but couldn´t stop yao and priddy of the boards. rocky with a near triple double 9/10/8
Pacers 124 HEAT 116
a shootout win nice but please keep it more consistent  Laughing
Pacers 89 Grizz 104
huh i lost despite JO having 27/19 and 4 blks and Miller 11/13 and 3 blks

Ernest profit has his best defensive game, evera A 5 blocks perofrmance against the pacers. Very Happy

I could have had him you know...Sonics offered me (i think this is not against the rules cause it pretty much doesn't matter anymore) Dirk for Tracy straight up week before you grabbed him. I declined cause i want to win with Tmac. Wink

Thats like me saying "Sure I could have gotten Yao, but I want to win a title with Antonio Lenard".

Just plain wrong. A sentimental pipe dream but bad GM judgement.

The difference is, Dirk does it better, against nearly any defender (holding him to 25 is a huge thing), and can do it at all three positions in the frontcourt. Plus he's am above average defender and absolut matchup nightmare. Superman ...

TMac can go off sometimes (as opposed to "Dirk can be kept in check sometimes"), plays defense on occasions, and does this all at SG. And he need a sidekick like Hoffa to be successful or is lost like Batman without Robin sometimes ...

But not that Superman has won his parade of titles so far, since lets not forget this is still a TEAM game ...

Could have (probably)

Should have (defintely)

Top bad... He's a Warrior for life now...  **insert evil laugh here**
Just hoping he comes through in the playoffs this year.
Those darn Clippers keep on getting in the way Wink
(and before getting beat by the Clips last season, The Warriors lost to the Dirk-led Sonics 2 years in a row in the playoffs)

A nice 7-1 sim, with the only loss an absolute smackdown by the Emeka-less Nets.

But, with a jumpshooting team, you are going to lose some games (the Warriors have had a surprising number of bad shooting games this season)

Did squeak a win over the Clips at home... almost lost it in the 4th, where they outscored me 42-23  Shocked

Hey, anyone know what the record for wins in a season is?  Not going to catch it, but just curious...

Another post of yours that doesn't have any sense.  The thing is, if i wanted to, Dirk would be King now. Ask SonicsGM if you don't belive me.

TMac can go off sometimes? Wow.

After Dirk, the guy is probably the best scorer in the game and all that playin along another 30ppg player (Hoffa). Curently, he's at 31ppg, without Hoffa, i think he would be somewhere around 33.

I am talking about taking it to the next level here. Stepping up when it counts.

Take one example, last playoffs. You both lost to the Clippers, with Dirk matching up with Elton and TMac with Maggette. So what happened?

TMac got 27ppg on 42% shooting (down from season avg of 29/48%) while allowing Maggette to score more (+1ppg), on 45% shooting (down from 46%), rebound more (+1rpg) and pass more (+2apg)

Dirk scored 32ppg (2ppg less than season avg) on 46% (down from 47%) but held Elton to 5.5 fewer ppg on 43% shooting (down big from 50%)

TMac is a good player, no doubt. A great scorer (but still held below 20ppg far too often, and that on a team where only he and Hoffa get the ball 90% of the time) but an average defender at best (there's a reason you see guys like Pettit beaming of joy when TMac awaits.)

but he's not in Dirk's class ...

I usually haven't looked at my stats until the next sim is about to be run.

Can't wait you to find out the mighty Celtics shot 56% against, repeat, the Emeka-less Nets ...

There were more fine storylines this sim. With the change of pace to "fast" the scoring went up by 16ppg, shooting from 42% to 49% and some more trapping gave me 2 more steals and 2 less TOs. Sure, putting a more offensive minded lineup out there with C Thomas and SG Redd had a lot to do with it too.

But thats what the regular season is all about, finding the right switches to make your team gel ...
