another losing sim...I'm using this year to experiment at what positions guys can play, we'll see if Josh Smith can play the 2 and JR the 1...the emergence of Al Harrington in Josh Smith's absence was very promising...I think I'm going to keep Al around in case he improves after training camp, this kid can play...Allan Houston is so unpredictable, he had 14pts in 13 minutes and 17 in 23 off the bench but I'm not complaining about his contributions

Lottery here I come. It's a pretty solid draft, and there are a few guys I have my eye on.

don't get sarcastic and pissy because you don't know what you're doing. We've done everything we could to try to educate people on the simulation. I've spent hours on IM, answered hundreds of PM's. We've had threads for beginners, and I've spent hours writing a league rules section.
You screwed up. Try to deal with it like a mature adult. Even though mostl likely you're not an adult.

Let me just agree with Nets here. I'm a first-timer, and I've asked plenty of questions to try to figure things out. While I now have a handle on the ratings, the whole pace/trap/press/focus areas have still got me baffled. But I understand that there's a learning curve. The first thing you need to do is realize that this sim has nothing to do with real life; the players' ratings can be pretty wacky, like saying Darrell Armstrong (who's 35 or 36) has B potential, yet a rookie like Arajuo has F potential.
What I'd suggest is downloading the actual FastBreak program and messing around with it. That helped me tremendously, much more than anything else.

Focus is just where you want most of your plays to be run. If you have a team, like me, that has their top 3 offensive options better at scoring in the post, you don't want them shooting 20 foot jumpers, and want them "focusing" on scoring inside in the paint.
Pace is just the tempo of the game. If you have a young team and, most importantly, with a lot of depth (playing at a fast pace means players generally don't play as many minutes) you may want to push the tempo. Again, if your primary options score in the post, you don't want to push the ball, as they'll never get set into scoring position.
Trap and Press are two things I've never really gotten a handle of myself. I've generally just fiddled with them to see if it improves.

Obviously you're taking it quite seriously. You're screaming and venting about being in a playoff position.

It really has nothing to do with your knowledge of english (which is fine as far as i can tell)
it has more to do with your lack of knowledge about FBB, which is fine, considering you're new. You'll learn.
