Well, not hinking much of my chances with Hinrich out.
Daniel Holt is going to have to come up very, very big from the PG spot, and I do not think he is ready...

wow that is a big loss not only loosing one of your best defender but without anyone as a third option as well. Bron against Dirk will be exiting but without kirk harris will have some big games.
Could be that the mavs are up for a sensation  Wink

Third option???
Who needs a third option?   Very Happy

The old gameplan was to put Nowitzki in the high post, and run a perimeter pick (Ruffin) for Hinrich, and to also have a post pick (Finley) for Deng.
This gave Nowitzki the option of taking his man down low, taking the shot from the high post, or passing to either Deng or Hinrich.

Either that, or we ran a double pick to get Nowitzki free on the perimeter, and had Deng flash to the post, while Hinrich passed to the open man, or took his own shot.

Now, the Warriors will be altering their strategy.

Dirk will stay in the high post with the ball (where he is most effective), but the Warriors will either run a double pick to get Deng free, or will post Deng up on the inside.

The old double pick to free Nowitzki play will still work, but teams will likely sag off of Holt, to double Nowitzki.  Holt will have to make the open looks he will get from double teams on Nowitzki.

If Dirk can average what he was averaging for the end of the season (about 40 ppg), and Deng can bump up to about 25 ppg, as long as Holt can get about 10 ppg, the offense will be OK...

My matchup with the Clippers should be a helluva series.  During the year, they beat me by 9, 1, and 1, and I beat them by 7.  So through 4 games this year, we're only separated by 4 total points.  And all 4 games came in the second half of the year, which is when my team crapped the bed.  It will be interesting to see what transpires.

Finished up with a 2-4 sim to end up ninth in the West again....and one of 6 teams in the league that finished 36-46.  Had a couple small injuries during the sim that played havoc with my lineups.  Played 5 of the final 6 on the road losing the first two games by a total of 8 points.  Then won two games but once the team was officially eliminated they mailed in the final two days of the season.

But with the entire team under age 30 the Spurs are looking forward to healing over the offseason and coming to TC ready to improve.

HEY IVAN, TAKE A LOOK !

That's how you deal with adversity, with some casualty, not the constant whining of the Kings and Celtics ...

No, that's not how i deal with it. I would probably smash my entire PC.

I have the same record as the Blazers and Jazz but somehow I'm the 8th seed. Mad .  Never played well against the Warriors, I think my team match up better against the Kings or Grizz.

you lost the season series 1-3 to both, what you expect ?

I'd still like to find out how FBB breaks a tied season series or a 3-way tie where it's not clear who won the seaosn series. This is completely undocumented ...

I doubt that since the NBA goes by conference record in case of a tied season series, and FBB does not. I guess it does a tiebreaker draw.
