thats good news, but with everyone likely busy preparing for the new year why not make the deadline officially jan 1st, noon (or even better jan 1st 5pm)

one thing i know for 100% sure is that at dec 31st 5pm your time i (and most of my fellow europeans) have something other in mind than the trade deadline, and that's a pity for such an important date !

Because I work from 3pm-midnight January 1st, so I can't make it 5pm Smile

I can't make it noon (or any other time) because I'm not sure exactly when I'll be able to get to it, if I'm going to have to leave for work early (and thus do the sim early) or whatnot.

I understand that, but the point is, with all those different time zones that jan31st 5pm trade deadline is likely to fall right after (far east) or right before midnight (europe) outside the US. And since trade deadline is the the most important date for some midseason dealing i suggest moving it to jan 1st, 5pm, to give everyone a chance to get his head straight, sober and do some wheeling and dealing ...

But if you were listening, I will be in the 3rd hour of a 9 hour shift (with a 1.5 hour drive after that) at 5pm january 1st.

Bods, i understand that.

But i also know if you do it at Jan 1st noon (US time), we wont have a chance to negotiate with anyone as nobody will be online. Same goes for the night before as we (europeans and asians) wont be online anymore for the evening of 31st. So all negotiations for us would have to be completed tonight at the latest.

Or without any stress and after a night of celebration on the evening of jan 1st ...

If I put it off until 5pm january 1st, it wouldn't get done until about noon January 2nd (I'd get home from work at around 1:30 am, wouldn't feel like doing the sim then).

Which means we'd have a sim at noon on january 2nd and at 5pm january 2nd.

Sorry.  I'm not pushing this back to give you guys more time to make trades, I'm "pushing it back" because I won't be able to sim before then.  this isn't a deadline that snuck up on anyone.

I am anxious to see how Stan the Manning does as a #1 option, especially with a PG like English feeding him the ball down low.

Also, The Bulls, Wiz and Sonics all look to have high lottery picks.  I'm liking the new Sonics...

Was a tough sim for me,2-4, with little luck could've been 3-3 or 4-2 but well lost one in OT and one by 1 point away.
wish could've gotten 1 more win then i did, had to play damn Kings 2 times Smile

Started with OT loss in Houston, my rivals for PO spot, then lost in Memphis by 4. Travelled to Sacramento without
any hopes, loss by 14 (Telf with nice 33/7 effort, team was shooting 50 % fG, 45 % 3PT and 91% FT, but even a great
shooting night was not enough to do something.

Back home came another loss to Kings, Telf again with 33, but something more (front) will take it to beat the damn
Kings.

4th straight loss came in Detroit by 1.

Finished with 2 wins at home to Sixers and Bulls (Telf with triple 21/10/12).

Now droped to 7th spot, too bad luck was not there this sim.

Sim up, as is check-in.
http://ssba.phillyarena.net/files/check-in.htm

Again, I'm not all that worried about inactivity considering the time of the year.

Looks like I'm going to have to play out the year with the Pacers only 1 game back.  they scare the living bleep out of me in the playoffs.  Pettit does not matchup with Marion at all.

6-1 sim, very good.  Won by an average of 20 ppg.  outrebounded opponents by 7 per game.  13 turnovers/game to 17 for opponents.  Held them to 39% shooting as a team.  Emeka with 21.3/16.5/3.42 blocks.  Pettit with 39.3/5.4/4.1.  Lord with 14.7 pts and 6.6 assists, not bad.  Dunleavy didn't shoot well, but had 12.2 pts, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals to only 1.8 turnovers.  Boykins with 12/5 off the bench.  Had a really weak schedule though.

That game on day 99 against the Wizards was the reason I got Dunleavy.  14 pts, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals, 1 turnover, 2 3ptm.  He reminds me of Gnobili.  He can fill up a stat sheet.   Still wasn't expecting him to supplant Battier, but he's been amazing.

Happy with the way Lord is playing, and I'm probably going to leave him in as the starter right now.  But it's really just to let him play some more, I'll probably insert Boykins back for the last sim and playoffs.  Lord's flashing some real nice ability, and was a little more consistent this last sim, but he's not quite there.

This Emeka character is pretty amazing.  He throws up 20/20 games like other players put up double-doubles.  He had 3 20-20's this sim (31pts, 23 rebounds, 25 pts, 22 rebounds and 27 pts, 20 rebounds).  On the season he has 12 20 pts, 20 rebound games.  He might be the MVP this year.

Sammy chipped in a nice 10.4 pts, 3.7 blocks in only 29 minutes.  He's just not going to put up the #'s playing next to Emeka.

Lord's defense was pretty good, held opposing starting pg's to 0.98 pps (the best on the team), and they only had a 1.7/1 assist to turnover ratio.  Very excited about this kid....he's just not there yet.

21-3 in my last 3 sims.
