Hmm...a 4-4 sim for the Raptors, pretty terrible given the competition.

Won 4 of the first 5, then 3 losses in a row to the Suns, Pistons and Knicks, all bad teams.

Yao had a bit of an off sim, scoring less than 30 pts in 5 of the 8 games played.

Still just 3 games back of homecourt advantage, but will have to take advantage of light sims such as this one and the one coming up.

Very good sim by the Warriors. 6-2.

Team actually did well without Nowitzki, going 2-1.

Highlight, of course, was defaating the Kings.  Let's me know that my team really can play with the elite teams in the league.

Can't seem to beat the Magic though.  They have defeated me twice this year, as have the Spurs.

Nothing feels better than beating the heat with a depleted team.

btw I really hope you hold onto that 6th spot. Just don't let damn Mavs pass you otherwise i'd play against them instead of your Blazers.  Smile

I'll try hehhee, for me it's a huge acomplishment to get to PO's with those youngsters, i have no expectations, i'm 95 % sure if i get to that spot i'll be eliminated round 1 this season (watch out all in next 2-3 seasons when baby's araise), but i'll try to make my cousin an easier way to the CF finals at least (joke), even looking at it now, i probably have more chance against Mavs (or any team in SSBA) then Kings, Kings are my dark hourse, in 3 seasons i never beated them (just once i think, comparing to all other teams which i've defeated at least 2-3x even while my team was totally patetic), however, that dark horse might turn to white horse if we meet in round 1, my wish is Kings (revenge hehe) or Clipps/Mavs in round 1 if i make the PO's   Very Happy

nice sim again 5-1
Artest really played amazing this sim: not sure if there is a better third option here
@grizz W Artest 32/5 with 3stls and MArion 26/13
@rockets W again a nice defense effort holding them under 40% Marion 27/13 and Artest 24/4 again leading my team
bucks W and one more defense win with the bucks shooting under 40% Marion 30/12/7 and Artest 27/7/4
@celtics the third consecutive win holding a team under 40% great  Very Happy i like my play against the celtics  Wink Marion 31/7/7 , Rocky holding his former mentor to 8/27 and Artest 19/7/6 and a team record 8 stls
@clippers a blowout loss had no answer for them
@pisotns W with JO 37/8 and Artest 20/5/6

with the current record i hope i can stay at 2nd place the nets are out of my reach

This was the true test and reality check. Went 3-6 playing against the best from both conferences. So the reality is not looking too bright ...

Lost both to the Warriors (one without Dirk, and a close one on the road when he returned), a defensive battle to the Kings (too bad Bibby and Tinsley apparently got injured during the locker room celebrations ?!?), a slugfest to the Pacers and another close one to the Hornets (where Radman went 17-25 !!!).

Only loss that hurts was to playoffs competitor Wiz, but on the other hand i beat the Bulls twice and the Pistons.

yes, give it to me, when i'm down. still it's interesting to "stay within 23" when your outshot 59% to 39%, out assisted 35 to 18 and have an 8 worse stl/to differential.

What's up?
14 more games without my hope Stromile and some tough decisions to make before the trading deadline ...

5-2, much better sim after shaking up the lineup & tactics a bit. Hope that it carries over to the next sim.

3-5 sim, was the playoff hope killer, I had some big games and losing 3 games to the Heat proved that I'm not playoff worthy.  Shane Nesterovich has really impressed me.  I might make a move at the deadline to help for next season seeing that Damp will retire.

yea only a 23 win celtics had more shots and rebounds, less fouls - seem to me they aren´t playing hard enough

5-2 sim.  Losses to the Wizards & Hornets.  Wins over the Warriors, Rockets, Jazz, Sonics & Lakers.  This young starting team is starting to play well together.

Weakness in FG defense is made up in defending the 3 pt arc and not allowing too many free throws.  Also we are averaging almost 2 more steals per game and 1 less turnover than our opponents.

I was happy to see that Maggette, a C+ defender, shut down Marion! But then again, Marion did the same to Maggette.

Jason Terry had a back to back triple double against powerhouse Kings and Nets.  I don't think any player had done it before.

Oh, good idea to mention triple doubles:

My young stud Ivan Strong ALMOST had one against the Bulls and amare Stoudemire: he got 15pts, 10reb and 9 ass COMING FROM THE BENCH !!!

it sure helped that starter Etan Thomas just played 8 minutes due to foul trouble, but still ...

Strong played AGAINST Amare, and "held" him to 36 minutes, 44 points (on 18-38 shooting), 9 boards and 5 giveaways. Still not too bad for a backup ...
