Yeah, Lebron  needs to steal some balls, he's only at 5spg (!?).  Smile

4-6 Sim. When I initially saw it I thought "Same old, same old".

However, taking a closer look, I saw that my young team actually performed half decently. We won all four of our home games (and lost all of our road games as young teams often do) and if you don't count the huge forty point loss to a great Hornets team, we actually were within 2ppg in points differential.

Trevor Wells started off slow and shot poorly, but picked it up as the sim went along. It was nice to see his rebounding and assist numbers up by quite a bit from last year.

Curtis Sura played solid. He had far too many turnovers, but provided solid rebounding and a nice scoring (if not 3-point shooting) touch and played very solid defense.

Andre Stocker was an absolute beast, averaging 12.8ppg, 13.5rpg & 1.4spg on 49.6% from the field. He did shoot terribly from the foul line, however, and got absolutely torched by Amare all three games and by Yao once. Still, his rebounding helped us have a substantial rebounding edge over opponents (after getting killed on the boards last season)

Diddle was solid and Sweetney & Ruiz proved to be a nice tag-team at PF - especially on the boards.

While we are still probably not a playoff team we have certainly improved from last year and have some very nice young pieces.

Ugh, 1-4. But the one win was a 48 point destruction of the Blazers. At least this season I actually have my pick.

Bods... why is Childress marked as PF? I know that Brown was injured and his backups Brand (sf) and Chandler (c) started at other positions. So the computer put Childress at pf right? But also in games where Kwame did start at pf, Childress was still marked as a pf.

Though I must say he is doing a good job there! So maybe I could play him there more often. Smile

Quote from: NetsGM

Kevin Garnett for 6th man of the year.  12.5 ppg and 7.7 rpg in 18 minutes is incredible points per minute.  The guy starting over him (Vice) isn't doing bad either, 14.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg in 29.7 minutes.

Yes, this is an interesting decision. Is Vice being showcased? I can't imagine any situation where playing Garnett as a backup could help a team win.

2-2, fine start for me, wish i had won the Suns game tough, Schultz is a monster, he's ready for big things, 25.0ppg,
7.5rpg,2.3spg on 55 FG % and 73 3pt % this first sim, Telf was shooting below avg, but he got 17.3ppg and 10.5apg, and
his TO's seem to be droping from game to game.....Russell is continuing to shoot great as last seasaon, FG 50 %, 45 3pt
and 89 FT, Buehler is proving to be great defender and a very good rebounder, same for Finley.

at Spurs 116-82  Houbregs 28/5/5, Telf 22/16, Schultz 20/14, Buehler doing good defense as usual.

vs Rockets 110-81 Schultz 35/8 , Telf 19/7 7 steals, Haywood with 16 boards, Buehler another game with 9.

vs Suns 97-100 Was a suprising loss, Schultz 21/7 was the only shining star in this loss.

at Cavs 86-134 I believe this is the 2nd biggest loss in Blazers history,  Schultz and Russell were doing great, but
the rest of the team was miserable.

Now im wondering how Buehler and Houbregs will do next sim, as i moved them back to SF positions, they ratings droped
this 1st sim as i was checking if any changes would occur on SG/PF positions.

Two individual records also happened in first 2 games, Schultz career high 35 points and Telf 7 steals.

Yeah, that was my biggest loss i think, somebody crushed me last season with 40+, but its around that, unfortunately for me it was the only signifcant loss, i crushed 2 teams and lost to Suns by 3

Pettit's had major TO problems so far, 3 games already with 7+ turnovers  Shocked

My PG's, however, have been amazing.  Neither of them have had more than 2 TO's in ANY game.

I felt I had a strong statistical sim, but it's too early to be worried about being last in the division, Kaman exploded scoring, Kirilenko almost had a double double, Shabinger's stats are looking better, and Hughes is shooting 80% from three.

Let's say it again, it's without ANY CONSEQUENCE WHATSOEVER where your players are located on the roster page, this is for informational purposes only. Moving players to a position doesn't influence their performance a bit ...

Somewhat disappointed with the 4-5 start....until I checked the schedule.  After a season opening loss to the Blazers I split with the Sonics, 1-2 with the Warriors, lost to the Clippers, beat the Raptors & Pacers.  With a couple new faces and some experimenting with the settings I wasn't as unhappy as when I first saw the results.

All I need to do is figure out some way to get my young guys who really developed in TC some more floor time.
