While the Warriors will miss both Kobe and Stromile, the opportunity to get one of the best offensive players in the game is too much to pass up.

With Posey, Deng, and Springs ready to fill in the SG opening, losing Kobe should not be too damaging.

Nowitzki is a matchup nightmare, and is one of the big reasons the Sonics have been to the Finals the last two years.  Now I want a chance at the Finals Smile

great trade for the warriors...

dirk is best if he is the clear number one option and a great passer and shooter is playing pg.
the rebuild of the sonics started once again..

Warriors sorry i didn't get back to you, i was in a rush these past several days.

btw I think Warriors gave too much. I doubt Dirk can carry you all the way to the Finals by himself.

by himself.

Did you miss Finley, Deng and Hinrich?

With Deng at 18 ppg and Hinrich at nearly 20, they have more than enough offense.

Not expecting Dirk to get 35 this year...
But if he can get 30, Hinrich 20, and Deng 15, I think offensively the Warriors will be OK.
The biggest worry is rebounding, but Dirk and Swift are about the same, so I did not lose much.

This give me alot of lineup options, especially since Deng improved last year to an A- defender at SG.

I will miss Swift's defense though...  He is an excellent man defender, and gets plenty of blocks as well.
Kobe's defense is overrated at the A, he was the worst defender in my starting lineup last year.  But his scoring as a non-option is very impressive.

BTW, I hate it when the edit button disappears Smile

Big trade, yes...but rebuilding? No.

Kobe and Swift immediately will start alongside English, Dickau and Shaq...which is one of the better starting fives in the game.

The financial flexibility, however, is why I did this deal.  Now, whenever Shaq retires, I will have loads of cap room, and my win rating will be high (because I don't care to tank).

Solid deal overall for both teams.

Without the picks, this deal is slightly in favor of the Sonics. With the picks, definitely. But that's just my opinion.

A first round pick after 15 has no value for me, so I'm not sure why you say "definitely" with the picks.

Well let me rephrase it. If anyone should add picks to this deal, it should be the Sonics.

Disagree completely.

Swift and Kobe are replacable.  There's no replacement for Dirk in this league.
