i like this deal, Manning is not a good rebounder and not really good defender, but he can score with the best of them. Manning was better than any other Big man left on the draft board. he wont be a regular starter, he'll come off the bench and do some spot starts like evan lo used to. With Gerstl coming in Walker was expendable, and I dident like to loose Ward, but Bisaone was a former top 10 pick as well and he looks like he can backup Hav for short periods of time like ward used to do.

Chip, you make it very hard for me. I'm about to (softly) rip you again ...

First, i like Manning, who could become your Antonio Lenard if it pans out. Biasone is a career backup, but Ward, though nice, is hardly on his way to stardom either. And like in real life, emp#8 has his best days clearly behind him.

but

the pick could have gotten you a real nice talent that's ahead of Manning too. Seeing Hill (who luckily dropped to you past the Pistons), Morrisson, Seymore and others still available I probably would have preferred keeping Ward over Biasone and take a chance on a pick (especially since Manning didn't really show improvement since being drafted)

Overall this is a decent deal of backups, but IF the Pistons had taken Hill it would've been a steal for them ...
